For some time now, each Season of Destiny 2 has brought players ritual weapons that they can spend time grinding to acquire and use. While there were originally ritual weapons unique to each Core Playlist, Bungie has since changed it so that there is only one across all playlists.

So as a result, players can now choose an activity and focus on it in order to get the latest ritual weapon. For Season of the Seraph, the ritual weapon is an Energy Pulse Rifle called Veles-X. Here is how Destiny 2 players can get their hands on this highly versatile weapon.

How to Get Veles-X

Since Veles-X is a ritual weapon, players will need to pick either Crucible, Gambit, or Vanguard Ops/Nightfalls and grind them for a very long time. In order to get Veles-X, Destiny 2players must reach Rank 16 (Legend) in one of the three Core Playlists. Once Destiny 2 players reach Rank 16, they must go speak with Zavala, Drifter, or Lord Shaxx and claim Veles-X. The NPC that players will talk to will depend on which playlist players got Rank 16 in.

Since Veles-X is always a Masterworked ritual weapon, the perks that come on the gun are fixed. Destiny 2 players will always have Repulser Brace and Tunnel Vision in the first column. In the second column, Veles-X will always have Golden Tricorn and Kill Clip. Finally, players have a choice between four different Origin traits. The four Origin traits for Veles-X are Hakke Breach Armaments, Vanguard's Vindication, One Quiet Moment, and Gun and Run.

How to Get Weapon Ornaments for Veles-X

Just like with all previous ritual weapons, Veles-X has three unique Weapon Ornaments that Destiny 2 players can acquire. In previous Seasons like Season of the Splicer, players had to complete a quest to get the Weapon Ornaments. However, it now takes significantly longer to get Weapon Ornaments for ritual weapons as players have to reset their rank in an activity and then reach Rank 16 again in the same activity.

While it takes a great deal of grinding to even get Veles-X in the first place, it takes even longer to get the Weapon Ornaments as well. So whether it is for Veles-X or for the Weapon Ornaments, it is recommended that Destiny 2 players wait for a week when one or more of the playlists have double reputation gains active. As a result, the grind will go much faster if players are at the maximum activity streak of five while also playing during a double reputation week. Another thing that can help make the grind go faster is to play with a group as opposed to playing solo with randoms via matchmaking.

Destiny 2 is available now on Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
