The Final Shape has brought about a few changes to Destiny 2 that veteran players will have to refamiliarize themselves with, but one of the most notable is the rework of the Agent of the Nine himself, Xur. In Destiny 2 after The Final Shape, Xur will now only be found in the Tower, and in addition to that, he no longer exchanges his goodies for Legendary Shards, the since sunset currency. Play Standard Ritual Playlists

In order to get Strange Coins in Destiny 2, players will need to complete activities in the Vanguard Ops, Crucible, and Gambit playlists. Each of these activities, upon completion, will earn players Strange Coins. The amount of Strange Coins players can acquire varies between 2 to 4, and it seems a successful match in Crucible and Gambit will grant 4, whereas a loss will still grant 2. It’s probably best to jump into Crucible to farm Strange Coins, as each match takes no longer than 10 minutes, whereas Vanguard Ops’ Strikes can take around 20 minutes depending on the Strike itself.

Use Favor Of The Nine

Purchased from Xur as part of his loyalty program, players can acquire a Favor of the Nine, which acts as a Legendary Buff that will grant players a chance of receiving a bonus Strange Coins. It’s something that can stack multiple times, so feel free to use a couple of them in order to get rich in the Strange Coins department.

What Does Xur Sell?

Xur is going to sell multiple Strange Offers, from Exotic Catalysts, to an abundance of Exotic Armors and Exotic Weapons. These items are not exactly cheap, and for players who are still grinding Strange Coins in Destiny 2, it might benefit them to look below to see just what Xur sells with his rework, and how expensive they are.

Players will be able to find these items weekly from Xur in the Tower between 12 PM EST on Friday and 12 PM EST on Tuesday.
