How To Get The Rufus's Fury Auto Rifle

Players must venture into the Root of Nightmares raid and complete encounters to obtain the Rufus's Fury Auto Rifle. Specifically, they'll need to defeat the first boss of the raid, Zo' Aurc, Explicator of Planets, or defeat the final boss, Nezarec, the Final God of Pain, which are the third and fourth encounters.

However, it's worth noting that defeating each boss does not guarantee the gun, as other weapons and armor are also rewarded. That said, obtaining the weapon once will allow players to spend their Spoils of Conquest currency at the final loot chest to get the roll they want. It may take a few runs before a Guardian finally earns the gun, but it's well worth the effort, as the Rufus's Fury is slowly becoming one of the best weapons in the game, thanks to its fantastic perk pool.

What Is The God Roll for The Rufus's Fury?

As mentioned, the Rufus's Fury has a fantastic perk pool to work with for both PvE and PvP activities. For PvP, Reconstruction and Target Lock will be the best choices.

Reconstruction will automatically reload and overflow the weapon's magazine after being stowed for a while. On the other hand, Target Lock will increase the gun's damage the longer it is held on a target.

Essentially, if a player were to leave the weapon stowed at the beginning of a match, Reconstruction would overflow its magazine. When it's time to engage someone, the player can unload a magazine of over 100 bullets onto an unsuspecting target. If there are multiple in the area, Target Lock will increase the damage output, allowing the user to mow down everything in their wake. Undoubtedly, this gun will be a force to be reckoned with in endgame PvP activities.

For PvE, Demolitionist and Adrenaline Junkie is always a powerful combo to use, especially on a Strand subclass. Demolitionist will generate a small chunk of Grenade energy per kill, and Adrenaline Junkie will increase the gun's damage by 20% after securing a Grenade kill. For a Strand Warlock build specializing in Threadlings, this weapon will constantly generate Grenade Energy while mowing down enemies with ease, thanks to the 20% buff from Adrenaline Junkie.

Players can earn the Adept version of the Rufus's Fury from completing the third encounter challenge, Cosmic Equilibrium, on Master difficulty.

Overall, the Rufus's Fury Auto Rifle is one of the best raid weapons the game has seen in a while, and it's a must-have reward from the Root of Nightmares raid.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
