Destiny 2 is no stranger to bringing back old weapons from previous seasons. In Season of Defiance, the Vanguard Sidearm, Buzzard, returned to the Nightfall loot pool. However, some players need clarification on how to acquire the gun properly. This guide will help Destiny 2 players find and obtain the Buzzard Sidearm and determine the God Roll.

How To Get The Buzzard Sidearm

As mentioned, the Buzzard Sidearm is currently available in the Nightfall loot pool. However, there's a catch. Nightfall weapons are featured one at a time per week. Since there are six Nightfall weapons featured every season, this means that each time a gun is rotated out, it won't return for five weeks until it is featured once again.

At the time of publishing this post, the Buzzard is currently available for Guardians to earn from the Nightfall playlist. In the coming weeks, the Adept version will also become available to gain from Grandmaster Nightfalls. However, to correctly complete a Grandmaster Nightfall, players must team up with other Guardians to run the activity efficiently.

The Buzzard will drop after defeating the final boss of the featured Nightfall. On Master and below, the weapon has a "chance" to drop; the higher the difficulty, the more likely a player will earn it. On the Grandmaster level, the Adept version is a guaranteed drop.

What Is The God Roll For The Buzzard?

With the Buzzard acquired, it's time to discuss what rolls players should look for. Thankfully, the Buzzard has an excellent perk pool for both PvE and PvP activities.

For PvE, the God Roll to look for is Overflow and a new perk called Kinetic Tremors. Overflow will double the gun's magazine capacity when the user picks up special or heavy ammo. Kinetic Tremors will emit a shockwave to nearby enemies after dealing sustaining damage for a period of time. Essentially, it's like the Voltshot perk but for Kinetic weapons.

PvP is a different story. Sidearms in PvP are currently in an "ok" state, but there are better options to use in the Kinetic slot, such as the Peacebond Stasis Sidearm from Iron Banner. That said, the God Roll for PvP activities will be Perpetual Motion and Rangefinder. Perpetual Motion grants the weapon increased stability, reload speed, and handling when the user is in motion. Rangefinder gives the gun a flat boost in range when aiming down sights (10%, to be exact).

As far as the Barrel, Magazine, and Masterwork go, anything that gives extra range will always be appreciated, making the gun safer to use at longer distances. Thus, players should look for the Arrowhead Brake Barrel, Richoet Rounds for the Magazine, and a range Masterwork. This applies to both PvE and PvP activities.

Destiny 2 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
