All raids in Destiny 2 have exclusive challenges that appear every week. This past week, the King's Fall raid featured a brand-new challenge, the Under Construction challenge for the Daughters of Oryx encounter.

However, there seems to be a misconception about completing this specific challenge within the Destiny 2 community. This guide will help Destiny 2 players understand how to complete it efficiently.

How To Complete The Under Construction Challenge

When the challenge first became available on the Day one edition of the King's Fall raid, players were under the assumption that they weren't allowed to stand on the same plate twice during the construction phase. However, this is simply not the case. This challenge requires players to not let the platforms disappear from existence. If this happens, another player will need to pick up the slack and stand over the plates in place of other participant.

Here's an example of how the encounter could fail. Two players must step on the R1 and L2 plates during the construction phase. If one of them were to step off before the dimensions' runner reaches the brand claimer buff at the top of the construction, a message would appear in the feed stating, "The platforms fade from existence."

If this message appears, the two players currently standing on the R1 and L2 plates would need to step off, and two new players would need to take their places. The challenge is essentially not to let the platforms fade from existence at all, which is another way of looking at it.

However, for most teams, this shouldn't be too difficult of a challenge to handle, as the only time a player could die on the platform would be if one of the Daughters of Oryx were shooting them. Snipers appear during the construction phase but can be dealt with quickly and don't do too much damage.

The Under Construction Challenge On The Master Difficulty

For teams looking to complete this challenge on the Master difficulty of the raid for the Kingslayer title, there are a couple of changes to be aware of. Usually, when the construction phase starts, a Knight will appear on a random plate to indicate where the building will begin.

On the Master difficulty mode, regular Knights are now replaced with Anti-barrier Knights, and Acolytes will also have Void shields. Aside from these changes, the challenge itself remains the same.

Overall, compared to previous challenges such as the Totems and Warpriest encounters as an example, the Under Construction challenge is far easier to complete, and players should have little to no difficulty in doing so.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
