How To Complete Cosmic Equilibrium Challenge

Destiny 2-Macrocosm- Root of Nightmares Raid Third Encounter

For the short and sweet answer, to complete the Cosmic Equilibrium challenge, players must swap all the Dark planets to the left side of the room and all the Light worlds to the right. Thankfully, this challenge is a lot easier to deal with than the previous challenge, Crossfire. That said, players need to understand the key differences.

Usually, to start the DPS phase against Zo' Aurc, players must align all the Light worlds on the left side of the room and all the Dark planets on the right. This time around, players must do the opposite to complete the challenge. However, if they were to mix and match the worlds on different sides and have two Dark and one Light on a given side, the challenge will fail, and Zo' Aurc will cause a team wipe, forcing everyone to start over. Simply put, the challenge is to do the opposite of the usual strategy.

After aligning all of the planets on their respective sides, the DPS phase against Zo' Aurc will begin, allowing the team to damage and defeat the boss. More likely than not, players will need to repeat this process two to three times before finally slaying the boss. If players fail to complete the challenge correctly, a message will come up in the feed stating "Challenge Failed," indicating that they will need to start over.

Master Difficulty Changes

Destiny 2-Macrocosm-Root of Nightmares Raid

For Guardians looking to complete the challenge on the Master difficulty of the raid to gain progress toward the "Dream Warrior" seal, there is one significant change to be wary of during attempts. In the normal mode, players must defeat a regular yellow-bar Colussus to gain the "Planetary Insight" buff, which they need to see where they will need to place the planets on each side.

However, on Master difficulty, the Colossus has been swapped out for Anti-Barrier Colossus, four in total. Guardians must defeat them to gain the buff multiple times throughout the fight. Thus, they should bring proper weapons to deal with them, such as the Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle, Arbalest, which will one-shot their shield when displayed.

Bringing down Zo' Aurc on Master difficulty will reward Guardians with the Adept version of the Rufus's Fury Auto Rifle.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
