As Destiny 2's Season of the Wish continues, players will be asked to perform more tasks for the ghost of Riven in hopes of getting closer to the Witness. One such task involves the anomalous involvement of the Black Garden Vex in the disappearance of Riven's eggs.

Destiny 2: How to Get The Dawning Memento (Winter Night Quest Guide)

Destiny 2 players can get the event-exclusive Dawning Memento relatively easily by completing Winter Night, a short, snowball-filled quest.

The Starcrossed mission sends Guardians deep into the Black Garden in hopes of finding one of Riven's egg clutches. However, there's more to this than meets the eye, and players will find themselves entwined between the fate of two dragons, assuming they can get the mission to start in the first place.

How to Start the Starcrossed Quest

Starting the Starcrossed quest in Destiny 2

As excited as players might be to get the new exotic bow in Destiny 2, they're going to have to wait until they make significant progress in Season of the Wish's main questline. Before you can start the Starcrossed quest, you'll need to reach Step 27 of Wishing All The Best. This translates to four weeks' worth of quest steps. Thankfully, reaching this point shouldn't take more than a few hours, even if players start from the very beginning.

There's nothing complicated to do here. Follow whatever the seasonal quest tells you to do until you get to the Apophasis quest. This is essentially another story-based run of Riven's Lair where you have to fight through two arenas before fighting a boss at the end (don't forget to grab the Starcat in the Reaver's Orison room).

If the Apophasis boss does not spawn in the final room, walk back to the Rally Banner room and wait for a few seconds. This should trigger the boss to spawn again, letting you continue the rest of the mission. Defeat the giant minotaur and take out the boss that ambushes you after. Once both Vex minds are dead, the mission will end.

The Reaver's Orison map in Destiny 2's Apophasis mission

After completing Apophasis, go to the HELM and speak with Crow. He'll give you the next step of the Wishing All The Best quest, which is to complete the Starcrossed mission. The node for the exotic bow quest will appear in the HELM as well.

There is no matchmaking for Starcrossed, but you should be able to find other Guardians by using the Fireteam Finder feature. Either create your own listing or join an existing one by following the prompts that appear on-screen. Just keep in mind that Starcrossed is a fairly lengthy mission, and it can be a bit hard to solo without the right gear and build.
