Weapon crafting in Destiny 2 was added with the launch of The Witch Queen in 2022. While many crafting patterns have been added since then, the one thing that seems to have been neglected by Bungie are additional Mementos. Mementos are special items that can be inserted into a crafted weapon. Not only do they give a crafted weapon a special title, but also they grant access to a unique shader for the weapon they are attached to.
Previously, the only sources for Mementos was Grandmaster Nightfalls, Gambit, and Trials of Osiris. But now there is a new Memento that Destiny 2 players can get only during Festival of the Lost, and it is called the Lost Memento.
How to Get the Lost Memento
In order to obtain the Lost Memento, players will need to complete the Twilight Triumph. The three steps for this Triumph are hidden and just appear as a bunch of question marks. Even when the objectives are completed, they will still appear the same. The steps for the Twilight Triumph are as follows:
- Complete the FALLEN S.A.B.E.R. strike with the Clovis Bray mask equipped.
- Kill 100 enemies on Neomuna with the Nimbus mask equipped.
- Kill 25 enemeis with finishers in Haunted Sectors on Legend difficulty while having the Tormentor mask equipped.
While this sounds pretty straight forward, players will need to make sure that they have the three masks unlocked and equipped on their Masquerade helmet to progress the Twilight Triumph. All three masks (Clovis Bray, Nimbus, and the Tormentor) can be unlocked by doing the following challenges for Festival of the Lost.
- Complete the introduction quest for Festival of the Lost to obtain the Clovis Bray mask.
- Focus an Eerie Engram to obtain the Nimbus mask.
- Kill 100 Headless Ones to obtain the Tormentor Mask.
Currently, the challenge for killing 100 Headless Ones is bugged. Only Headless Ones killed on Legend difficulty will count. Bungie is aware of this and hopefully this bug will be fixed soon.
Once all three objectives for the Twilight Triumph have been completed, players simply have to claim the Triumph and they will get the Lost Memento. Upon obtaining the Lost Memento, players will have a small chance of obtaining additional ones when opening Eerie Engrams.
Keep in mind, however, that it is only possible to hold one Lost Memento at a time. So if players want to get more to apply to their crafted weapons they will need ot make sure to use the one in their inventory first before farming for more.
