Neomuna is the newest location to be unlocked alongside the Destiny 2 expansion Lightfall. Neomuna is a riveting location, brimming with technological advancements, Shadow Legion Cabal, and the ever-pesky Vex. Within the city of Neomuna in Destiny 2 lie many secrets, some still awaiting explanations, such as the mystery of the Veil.

Whether it’s sites, collectibles, or enemies, there’s plenty to do on Neomuna. Not everything is clear, and some things in the vast futuristic city on Neptune require concentration and fortitude. The hidden secrets on Neomuna certainly add to the charm of Lightfall.

8 Nezerac’s Whispers

Not much is known about Nezerac just yet. Perhaps the upcoming Lightfall Raid, Root of Nightmares, will explain more of Nezerac’s story, or even feature the character as the final boss. Nezerac has had few mentions, yet it’s clear that he is quite the threat, since he was known before the Golden Age, and a threat throughout the Collapse.

An Unknown Voice lurks in the Vex Network and reveals itself as Nezerac. If players want to hear more of this ominous dialogue rather than unintelligible whispers across Neomuna, then they will need to equip Nezerac’s Whisper or Nezerac’s Sin to decipher Nezerac’s Whispers.

7 Calus’ Watchful Gaze

Along with a new set of Darkness powers and an allegiance to the Witness, Calus has become a Disciple, and thus receives a giant Pyramid ship of his own. Calus is always one for showing off, and as such, his ship the Typhoon Imperator has his face etched into its design. It’s pretty hard to miss but seems to have found permanent residence on Neomuna.

Perhaps the creepiest part of this ship is not Calus’ infinite ego, but the fact that the glowing red eyes of Calus’ statue follow the player, wherever they go. It further shows how infatuated Calus is with the tenacious little Guardian, as his eyes will track the player at every turn.

6 9 Region Chests

Region Chests can be found on every patrol location across Destiny 2, but they are not exactly the easiest thing to find. Region Chests are one-time unlocks, and can provide players with a bout of Neomuna XP, as well as some tasty glimmer. Across Neomuna, players can locate and open 9 Region Chests, which will help them advance the Neomuna vendor Nimbus’ quests and rewards.

Some of these Region Chests may be difficult to locate, so it’s best to look for a Neomuna Region Chest guide to follow the exact locations. Some are located under or over where they say they are. Whereas others rely entirely on using a vent.

5 Neomuna Citizens

Neomuna may seem like a ghost town, but that’s thanks to the influx of Vex and the invading forces of the Shadow Legion Cabal. The citizens of Neomuna have all entered the CloudArk for extra safety, a virtual life, in which the Neomuna people have uploaded their minds to a network. This doesn’t mean they are gone, as players will be able to see Neomuna people throughout the city.

On buildings and floors, the player will be able to walk through and interact with a multitude of colors shaped like a human. These are the virtual bodies of the Neomuna citizens, showing that the city technically isn’t empty of civilian life.

4 Pouka Pond Meditation

There’s been a lot of mystery surrounding the Poukas ever since they were first seen alongside the Exo Stranger. As it turns out, the Pouka originates from Neptune, and they almost act like replicant Ghosts, but without the ability to talk or resurrect. Many on Neomuna use Poukas to help meditate, and for therapeutic reasons, which is exactly why the pond is useful after the Lightfall campaign.

Players that are looking to create the best Strand Guardian for their class need to look to the Pouka Pond in the Hall of Heroes. This is where players will find the Strand meditative focal point, where they can put their Strand points into new abilities and aspects.

3 They’re Not Dolls

There’s a secret Triumph in Destiny 2 that involves the collection of 9 Action Figures. These Action Figures are exclusive to Neomuna and will bring the player one step closer to unlocking all Triumphs in Destiny 2. Sadly, these dolls have not all been released just yet, as each Action Figure is released once a week.

Players will be able to find these Action Figures around Neomuna in specific locations. The Action Figures in question are of the iconic Cloud Striders. To proudly show off the Action Figures, players can head to Nimbus’ apartment and display them around.

2 Secret Events

Many players might be asking themselves how they can get the Virtual Fighter Triumph Title in Destiny 2. To achieve part of this title, players will need to discover the many secrets across Neomuna. One of these secrets involves subtle Public Events that some players may be unaware of.

As for the first week of Lightfall, these secret events were the Timed Vex Repulsion, Shadow Legion ammo sabotage, and Shadow Legion surveilled. These events aren’t made entirely aware to the player, but it’s worth keeping in mind for things to do in Neomuna, especially when players can get to their destination quicker through 'riding' rockets with Strand.

1 Incursion Zones

After completing Lightfall’s campaign, players will see a lot of content on Neomuna through Vex Incursion Zones. These areas rotate the location, whilst also changing modifiers and rewards. Essentially, an Incursion Zone is a way for advanced and post-campaign characters to seek greater rewards on Neomuna, with powerful Exotics and light-level bonuses.

The reward for completing activities from the Vex Incursion Zone will grant players Strand Meditations, useful for upgrading Strand abilities and gaining more aspects. Players will also receive a Terminal Overload Key, which can be used for a bonus chest. If players also complete a Vex Strike Force Public Event, they will receive guaranteed Exotic Gear.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
