Destiny 2 has released a brand-new update called Into the Light as part of Season of the Wish before the launch of their major expansion, The Final Shape. Into the Light comes with a brand-new activity and a set of brand-new weapons.
Into the Light also features the return of Edge Transit, which was initially released in the year of Forsaken, and used to drop so much that it became a meme. Now it has returned with some incredible potential in the PvE sandbox.

Destiny 2 Edge Transit Overview
Edge Transit is an Adaptive Frame Heavy Void Grenade Launcher and has access to some incredible perk options. Heavy Grenade Launchers have been receiving a lot of buffs recently and are extremely potent in the PvE sandbox.
Edge Transit has some incredible perk combinations that allow it to excel at both Boss damage and crowd control. It also has an impressive Origin Trait allowing it to generate Grenade and Melee energy on kills, depending on the selected subclass.

Crowd Control God Roll
For crowd control, players have to focus on barrels and perks that allow the weapon to deal more area-of-effect damage. Choose barrel and magazine options that increase the Blast Radius stat, so Confined Launch, Volatile Launch, and High-Explosive Ordinance are the perfect choices.
In the left column of perks, Chain Reaction is the best perk for causing more area of effect damage. It allows the weapon's final blows to create an elemental damage explosion. Kills with this explosion, in turn, cause further explosions.
In the right column, Destabilizing Rounds are incredible for spreading Volatile, which further enhances the area of effect damage, as well as synergize well with the Void kit. Chain Reaction and Destabilizing Rounds is the ultimate crowd control roll for Edge Transit.

DPS God Roll
Edge Transit has insane DPS potential, and the focus should be on the perks that allow increases to both our damage and magazine size. Players should also try to reduce their Blast Radius, as it will increase their single target damage.
Hard Launch is the best barrel option for Edge Transit, as it greatly increases the Velocity of projectiles as well as decreases the Blast Radius. For the Magazine, Spike Grenades are an obvious choice as they increase damage on direct hits.
In the left column of perks, Envious Assassin is incredible, as it can essentially triple the magazine size, which will allow players to fire off all shots on a boss without needing to reload. This perk single-handedly makes Edge Transit one of the best DPS weapons.
In the right column, look for perks that will increase damage. In this case, Bait and Switch as the best damage perk that provides a 30 percent increase in damage after dealing damage with every weapon.
