Because there are so many iconic characters, places, and weapons in Destiny 2, it's not uncommon to witness incredible community creations that go above and beyond in terms of accuracy or originality. An example comes from the art made for Ada-1, who is turned from an Exo into a human by a Destiny 2 player, or the multiple times the game's Exotic weapons have been recreated in real life. With this in mind, it's easy to see how the line between adaptation and reimagination is so very thin when it comes to Destiny 2.

Another good reason to make art or memes stems from one of the most renowned guns in the entire game, Telesto, also nicknamed by the community "The Besto" due to how it manages to break Destiny 2 in many ways. Season of the Lost is all about fusion rifles, and it doesn't come as a surprise that the most famed Exotic fusion rifle managed to cause massive glitches this time around. As such, the memes about Telesto started sprawling a long while ago, and some players want to immortalize the gun for how fun it is to use.

That's what happened with the Xbox controller of a Reddit user by the name of OMGi8CAKE, who made a custom version of it inspired by Telesto itself. The controller in question sports the same color scheme as Destiny 2's fusion rifle, with white and purple being predominant hues, but also showing some golden bits. OMGi8CAKE used an Xbox One Elite controller for the base, with custom painted bumpers and rings, as well as a purple-glowing home button.

The color scheme is perfectly identical to that of Telesto, with the custom-painted bumpers being the same color as the gun's purple glass. The joysticks being black adds to the overall look, considering the weapon has several black components to it. Of course, the controller inevitably gave way to lots of memes and jokes from community members, stating how it will end up being disabled by Bungie.

This is due to the fact that Telesto was disabled last week in both PvP and Gambit due to a game-breaking bug, but for some reason, it can still be used over this weekend's Trials of Osiris in Freelance mode. Some players then started joking about how Telesto re-enabled itself into the game and has transcended its creators' will, with Bungie seemingly accepting the gun's status and embracing the memes.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
