Prismatic is a unique and powerful subclass added in Destiny 2: The Final Shape. It combines both the Light and Darkness, creating a power never before seen or wielded up to this point in the story. The neat thing about Prismatic is that nearly any weapon pairs well with it, so no matter what a player's play style is, they can find something that will be a match made in heaven as long as they have a way of doing both light and dark damage. Here are some great examples of weapons that can make the most out of the seemingly endless options provided by Prismatic.

6 Rufus's Fury

A Highly Versatile Auto Rifle With Numerous God Rolls

Auto Rifles vary in how useful they are for builds. Yet Rufus's Fury is easily one of the best Auto Rifles in the entire game. It has a strong pool of perks that it can roll with, and as a result, there are so many variants of a god roll that players can easily find one that suits their needs. To make things even better, Rufus's Fury can be crafted once players have unlocked the pattern for it.

As far as Prismatic goes, Rufus's Fury is great for building Darkness energy for the Transcendence bar. Demolitionist with Hatchling, Reconstruction with Target Lock, there are so many combinations that can result in a weapon that not only mows down red-bar enemies, but can also fill the Transcendence bar in no time.

5 Monte Carlo

An Exotic Auto Rifle That Pairs Well With Melee Builds

When it comes to melee focused builds, Monte Carlo is a great option to consider. Not only does it reduce the cooldown on a melee ability, but it also has a chance to fully recharge it. Since Prismatic gives Destiny 2 players a lot of options in terms of powered melee abilities, Monte Carlo can compliment it perfectly.

On top of that, if players are lucky enough to have obtained the catalyst for Monte Carlo, then it will work well with melee-focused Prismatic builds even better. The catalyst allows players to use the bayonet on the front end of the gun to do a powerful melee hit that hits hard and is easy to proc.

4 Red Death Reformed

Provides Survivability and Light Energy

Red Death Reformed was originally an Exotic in Destiny 1, simply known just as Red Death. With the release of The Final Shape and Episode: Echoes, Red Death has returned and has gotten a significant power boost in order to make it viable in the Destiny 2 sandbox. Formally a Kinetic weapon, Red Death Reformed now does Solar damage.

3 The Call

A Powerful Strand Sidearm

Normally, Sidearms have limited use in Destiny 2. While they can be useful in PvP, they have limited viability in PvE. At least, that was the case before unique Sidearms that use special ammo were released. One such Sidearm is known as The Call, and it is a powerful weapon that shoots small rockets rather than bullets. Since it does Strand damage, The Call is a great way to build Darkness energy for the Transcendence bar.

Damage type aside, The Call hits very hard. Combine that with the perks it can drop with, and Destiny 2 players have a weapon that is incredibly viable in difficult endgame activities. Between powerful combinations like Vorpal Weapon/Lead From Gold, Demolitionist/Hatchling, and Vorpal Weapon/Beacon Rounds, The Call can make short work of any foe.

2 Conditional Finality

Coincidental Forerunner of Prismatic

The idea of wielding both the Light and the Darkness has been referred to numerous times prior to the release of The Final Shape, but the first time that players actually got an in-game means of doing so was with Conditional Finality. This Exotic shotgun is a random drop from Nezarec at the end of Root of Nightmares. Before having to reload, this shotgun fires one Solar round and one Stasis round. This essentially allows players to get Light energy from one shot and then Darkness energy from the second shot, allowing them to fill the Transcendence bar quickly.

Being able to fill both bars for Prismatic is great, but landing almost every pellet on a target will either freeze or ignite them. Either way, this makes Conditional Finality also a great way of dealing with Overload and Unstoppable Champions while also making it easier to fill the Transcendence bar.

1 Khvostov 7G-0X

Khvostov Reimagined and Enhanced

In both Destiny 1 and the tutorial mission for Destiny 2 that was added during Shadowkeep, the first weapon that players got was a white quality Auto Rifle simply known as Khvostov 7G-02. It wasn't long before this weapon was replaced by something better, but it still held a special place in the heart of many a player. For years, players hoped that this weapon would return in Exotic form just like it did back during Rise of Iron in Destiny 1.

Players' prayers were answered in The Final Shape. Upon unlocking The Pale Heart, players can pursue a series of secrets that earn them not only a Legendary version of this gun but an Exotic version as well. Because of the Exotic perk, every seventh bullet ricochets to nearby enemies while also doing an increased amount of damage. Not only that, but picking up an Orb of Power boosts the damage of the next ricochet shot as well.

As a result, the Khvostov 7G-0X can make short work of a group of enemies if they are clustered together. Not that, but since this weapon does Kinetic damage it provides a small bit of Light and Darkenss energy for the Transcendence bar. It may not be much from an individual kill, but if players mow down several groups of enemies with the ricochet effect they can fill that bar up in no time. So not only is Khvostov 7G-0X an incredibly strong add clear weapon, but it also complements Prismatic perfectly.
