Season of the Deep is entering week four in Destiny 2. By now, players are well accustomed to how the Season operates and what loot they can earn. However, to acquire said loot, players will need the new currency, Salvage Keys, Deep Dive Keys, and lots of them.

By now, players should know where Salvage and Deep Dive Keys drop, as they can be obtained from any activity in the game. However, their drop rate is relatively low, which makes it annoying trying to acquire them to earn the new Seasonal loot. That said, there are a few ways for players to farm the keys efficiently in Destiny 2.

Method 1: Run The Seasonal Activities

Destiny 2-Deep Dive-Season of the Deep

The first method is to repeatedly run the seasonal activities, Salvage and Deep Dive, to acquire the specific keys the player needs. Of course, it's a tedious task, but completing the activities will also increase their Sonar Reputation, which is located at the Sonar Station in the helm.

Each time the player increases their Sonar rank, they will earn a Deep Engram and potentially acquire a Salvage or Deep Dive Key based on their rank. It's not the fastest method, but the player would essentially be killing two birds with one stone, as they have to max out their Sonar Reputation anyway for the Title.

Method 2: Farm Raid Encounters

The second method, which will be the best one to use, is for the more experienced players who can Raid consistently. As mentioned earlier, Salvage and Deep Dives can be obtained by completing any activity in the game, including Raids. However, this includes each individual encounter in a Raid, not the entire Raid itself. With that in mind, players can continuously farm Raid encounters to acquire Salvage and Deep Dive Keys. All that's left is to determine the best encounters to farm.

There are a lot of encounters to choose from across all the Raids in Destiny 2. Of course, it all comes down to personal preference, but the recommended method would be to farm whichever Raid is featured that given week.

For example, a popular strategy at the beginning of the Season was to farm the first encounter of the Last Wish Raid, Kalli, as the activity was farmable that given week. Another example would be to kill the final boss of the Deep Stone Crypt Raid, Taniks, as his encounter is relatively easy and has good loot for Guardians to enjoy.

Overall, whatever encounter the player chooses, completing it will give them the highest chance at earning Salvage and Deep Dive Keys. Remember, players can only have five of each Key at a time and must spend them to earn more.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
