Destiny 2: Best Female Characters, Ranked

Without these female characters, Destiny 2 would lack some important faces that bring about action and success.

Strand is exclusive to those who own the Lightfall expansion, and it comes with some amazing powers, allowing players to suspend their targets with cosmic green strings. Holding enemies in the air, striking them with immense power, and using a grapple to swing around for better mobility, all adds to the best uses of Strand in Destiny 2, but what of the best Aspects?

Best Strand Warlock Aspects

Here are the best Strand Warlock aspects for Broodweavers:

Mindspun Invocation

Enhanced Warlock Grenade Functionality

mindspun invocation
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Spend 150 Strand Meditations at the Pouka Pond, Neomuna.

Formless, shapeless… until you say otherwise. Shape reality as you see fit.

The Warlock Strand grenades have enhanced functionality, but it’s rather situational and depends on whether players actually like using different grenade types. Either way, here are the three different grenade-type upgrades that players can find:

  • Grapple: The grapple melee will spawn three Threadling eggs.
  • Shackle Grenade: Hold L1 to consume the Shackle Grenade and activate Weaver’s Trance. Final blows within Weaver’s Trance activate a suspending detonation.
  • Threadling Grenade: Hold L1 to generate five perched Threadlings.

Weaver’s Call

Release Threadlings When Casting Rifts

weaver's call
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Spend 150 Strand Meditations at the Pouka Pond, Neomuna.

Your call weaves a path into existence. A chirp rings out, eager to answer.

Players can cast their Rift to unleash three Threadlings and deploy any Threadlings currently purchased. This is bound to holding Circle/B/Ctrl. Whilst situational, it’s still a good Aspect, as players can have two Fragments, and summoning Threadlings to aid whilst players remain in a healing rift can always benefit the team.

Weavewalk

Consume Melee Energy To Gain Damage Resistance

weavewalk
  • Fragment Slots (1)
  • How To Get: Complete the Veil Containment mission on Neomuna, after Parting The Veil.

A small carved effigy of a Pouka, found in the Neomuna wreckage. With clarity of mind, you stride between this world and the next.

Double pressing (Circle/B/Ctrl) will allow players to dodge while airborne, which will consume their melee energy, but allow them to enter the weave and gain damage resistance against all forms of enemies. Whilst in this weave state, players will have their melee energy drained and they will generate perched Threadlings, and players can press their air dodge to exit the weave. It’s a good ability, but the fact it only provides one Fragment Slot leaves much to be desired.

The Wanderer

Throw Tangles For A Suspending Burst

the wanderer
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Complete Parting the Veil quest on Neomuna.

A ring of twisted silver, set with a glittering emerald. Deftly, expertly, effortlessly—one possibility is unsewn and another is born.

If players were to throw Tangles, they would now attach to targets and detonate into a suspending burst. If players are to destroy a Tangle, then a suspending burst occurs after a short delay. Even Threadling final blows will create Tangles. This is a great Aspect for those who just adore suspending targets and immobilizing them, as the synergy between creating Tangles and throwing them for suspending can provide plenty of add-clearing potential in hard activities.

Best Stand Hunter Aspects

As Threadrunners, here are the best Strand Aspects for Hunters:

Widow’s Silk

Create A Second Grenade Charge

widow's silk
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Spend 150 Strand Meditations at the Pouka Pond, Neomuna.

The softest whisper of a glove meant to be worn under a gauntlet. Seize the threads of reality.

Destiny 2: 6 Best Weapons That Are Impossible To Get Right Now

Some of the best weapons in Destiny 2 have been vaulted for quite some time now, and hope still lingers that one day they will return.

Widow’s Silk allows players to have an additional grenade charge, and their Grappling Hook will create a Grapple Tangle at the grapple point. This means that players can have two grenade charges, which is great for those who enjoy suspending targets, or just for those who like creating Grapple Tangles when they swing around the battlefield. However, it’s an Aspect best reserved for a single-use gimmick, such as suspending targets in Nightfalls, and doesn’t offer another potential for harder content like Raids.

Ensnaring Slam

Dive Towards The Ground To Suspend Targets

ensnaring slam
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Spend 150 Strand Meditations at the Pouka Pond, Neomuna.

A small shadow box with an arachnid on display showcasing the creature’s deadly beauty. Give them something to really catch their eye.

Players who activate their air move (Circle/B/Ctrl) will consume their class ability energy and dive towards the ground, suspending all nearby targets on impact. It’s a great ability for when situations are getting tough, as players will be able to stun and suspend enemies in close proximity, although the ability will extend class ability cooldown. It’s still worth it, as immobilizing targets is always going to be useful.

Whirling Maelstrom

Destroy Tangles To Unleash Strand Fibers

whirling maelstrom
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Complete the Veil Containment mission on Neomuna, after Parting The Veil.

A tightly coiled whip with fraying ends, carried at your side. You twist the universe until it tears.

With Whirling Malestrom equipped, players who destroy a Tangle unleash a writhing mass of Strand fibers, which will seek out targets and cause great damage to them. If a target is defeated with these Strand fibers, then Unraveling projectiles will unleash to further damage more enemies. It’s great for crowd control, as destroying a Tangle will always have its advantages, and a target-seeking spinning mass of death can be a charming use for areas with just too many enemies.

Threaded Specter

Create A Decoy With A Dodge

threaded specter
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Complete Parting the Veil quest on Neomuna.

A cracked hand mirror, held together with dark wire. What looks back is yours, but not you.

For players who are tired of being the target, summon a decoy with Threaded Specter. This Aspect will allow players to use their class ability to leave behind a decoy made up of Strand matter, and it will draw the ire of all enemies who will shoot at the decoy. If the decoy is destroyed, it will deal great damage and release Threadlings to attack nearby enemies. It’s great for distracting enemies to pull off a revive, or just to avoid some fire to heal.

Best Strand Titan Aspects

Unlock the greatest potential from the Berserker, with the best Strand Titan Aspects:

Flechette Storm

Knock Enemies Away With A Sliding Charged Melee

flechette storm

Shards of a broken blade, memento of a duel long won. Yours will not share its fate.

Destiny 2: 10 Things Only Veterans Remember

Destiny veterans may remember a different game than the one they have now in Destiny 2.

While in a slide, players can activate their charged melee ability to leap into the air, which will knock targets away and deal damage to them. Also whilst airborne, players can activate their charged melee again to launch a cluster of Unraveling projectiles. This can be chained with more melee activations for additional throws. Yet, being in the air makes a Titan vulnerable, and there are other options for great Aspects.

Drengr’s Lash

Suspend Targets With A Barricade

drengr's lash
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Complete Parting the Veil quest on Neomuna.

An ancient war horn, herald of countless battles. Let them know you’re coming.

Players can activate their Titan class ability to summon their barrier as normal, but with Drengr’s Lash, they can send out a ripple in reality which will travel forward across the ground and suspend any targets within its path. It’s a great Aspect, but it’s rather situational, and sometimes it’s better to just shoot things than wait behind a barrier for the chance that an enemy might walk into the suspend.

Into The Fray

into the fray
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Spend 150 Strand Meditations at the Pouka Pond, Neomuna.

An aged pauldron, dented and scarred. Be the front line.

Woven Mail is nearly essential to some heavy-hitting Strand builds, as it will provide players with an encasing protective mesh of Strand matter, reducing incoming non-precision damage. Players will create plenty of Tangles in their time with Strand, so using Into the Fray to destroy them by shooting them or throwing them will provide Woven Mail for the user and nearby allies. This effect also occurs when casting a Super, ensuring no quick death shall come to this Titan. As a bonus, melee regeneration is increased whilst Woven Mail is active.

Create Healing Bursts On Strand Kills

banner of war
  • Fragment Slots (2)
  • How To Get: Complete the Veil Containment mission on Neomuna, after Parting The Veil.

A tattered banner, every tear and faded stitch a lesson you will not forget. As long as it still waves, you rise to meet any challenge.

The latest and greatest, Banner of War will allow Titans to periodically heal themselves and their allies, as well as increase melee and sword damage. This is achieved when targets are defeated with a melee attack, finisher, or sword, further raising the pulsing energy of Banner of War. This is a perfect Aspect that keeps players alive, and the more deaths that the Titan and nearby allies provide to enemies, the speed of healing for Banner of War increases.
