Exotic armor in Destiny 2 tends to look quite unique, sometimes even offputting for some players. Luckily, thanks to the wide range of ornaments available for Exotics in the game, players have the power to customize their Exotic gear. Even though the options are not as varied as for Legendary armor, there are still some fantastic designs out there for famous Exotic armor pieces.

For Hunter mains out there, there are quite a few Exotics that could benefit from an ornament. These ornaments can be either bought with Silver from the Eververse store, or they might sometimes become available for purchase in the Bright Dust store. Here's which Exotic armor ornaments Hunters should get in Destiny 2 to look the coolest. Note that this list is subjective and made for fun.

10 Wormhusk Crown: The Gate Lord

Destiny 2 Wormhusk Crown Gate Lord Ornament

First off, Wormhusk Crown. This Exotic saw some attention recently thanks to how well it pairs with some of Solar 3.0's changes. The Wormhusk Crown grants players healing and returns some of their shield when they dodge, making it a powerful tool in PVP in particular. However, the default ornament of Wormhusk Crown isn't the greatest-looking Exotic in the game.

The Gate Lord ornament is a welcome change to an otherwise questionable-looking helmet and is a nice reference to the Vex with its singular red eye and golden, mechanical texture. For those going for a futuristic cyborg look, this is a nice choice to spice up Wormhusk Crown.

9 Knucklehead Radar: Nine Days/Nights

Destiny 2 Nine Days Nights Ornament For Knucklehead Radar

Speaking of futuristic appearances, the Knucklehead Radar has an ornament that's worth talking about. This Exotic helmet grants players radar sights, even when they are aiming down. When crouching, their radar becomes enhanced, which makes it a decent pick for any PVP enthusiasts who aren't entirely sure what other Exotic to run.

The default look of Knucklehead Radar is begging for improvement, and this holographic ornament called Nine Days/Nights is perfect. It's almost reminiscent of some of the aesthetics found in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, with that salvaged sci-fi tech kind of look.

8 Mask Of Bakris: Beastly Visage

Destiny 2 Beastly Visage Mask of Bakris Ornament

Moving on from hyper-futuristic to something a bit more fantastical, the Mask of Bakris has a dreadfully dark ornament that's sure to catch anyone's attention. This Exotic is truly special and unique with what it does, as it replaces the regular Hunter Stasis dodge with a shift that cloaks the player. The shift provides increased damage to Arc weapons and a general damage boost against any enemies that are frozen or slowed down.

Stasis Hunters wanting to look like an evil creature that has crawled out from the darkness of space should try the Beastly Visage ornament. Moreover, those who like to play around with shaders will be pleased to hear that this ornament takes other color combinations quite well.

7 St0mp-EE5: Astrostrides

Destiny 2 St0mp-EE5 Astrostrider Ornament

St0mp-EE5 may have taken a hit from Bungie's nerf hammer, but they still remain a true and tested Exotic that can be fantastic in the right hands. This Exotic leg armor improves jumping, sprinting, and sliding, but the downside is that most weapons will take a massive airborne effectiveness penalty.

As the most popular Hunter Exotic out there, it's a bit of a shame that St0mp-EE5 don't have more variety when it comes to ornaments. The Astrostrides ornament is easily the best of the bunch, as they give St0mp-EE5 a more manageable and neutral look for those who can't stand the default appearance.

6 Celestial Nighthawk: Cathartidae Filigree

Destiny 2 Celestial Nighthawk Cathartidae Filigree Ornament

The Celestial Nighthawk Exotic helmet has been and was a go-to for Solar Hunters when it comes to dealing boss damage. This helmet allows Hunters to shoot a single, powerful Golden Gun shot that deals gigantic damage, and also causes an explosion on the target killed, which provides them with Super energy.

Although the Celestial Nighthawk already looks fantastic as it is, there are some ornaments that can make it even better. Namely, the Cathartidae Filigree gives the helmet interesting eyes and an overall sci-fi-inspired futuristic look.

5 Star-Eater Scales: Tekeli-Li

Destiny 2 Tekeli-Li Stareater Scales Ornament

Dubbed by some fans in the community as the Cthulhu pants, Star-Eater Scales are a powerful Exotic that can enhance a Hunter's Super. In season 17, when Blade Barrage is particularly powerful, these legs are a must-have. Orbs of Power grant the Hunter more Super progress, and once fully charged, picking up Orbs will allow the Super to overcharge. In this state, players will deal more Super damage, regenerate health and receive an overshield.

For this powerhouse of an Exotic, the Tekeli-Li ornament is a great choice. The Exotic already has a truly bizarre, fish-like appearance, but this ornament tones down the weird Cthulhu vibe a notch for players who like to keep things cool. It's also great for players who enjoy the fantasy side of Destiny 2 over the salvaged sci-fi aesthetic.

4 Graviton Forfeit: Rigel Crossroads

Destiny 2 Graviton Forfeit Rigel Crossroads Ornament

For Hunters specializing in Void and invisibility, Graviton Forfeit is an interesting Exotic helmet. Invisibility is extended with this Exotic on, and while the player is invisible, they gain melee energy at a faster rate, have better Recovery, and reload their weapons quicker.

On its own, it looks impressive enough with its misty purple visor, but those looking for something a bit different should try the Riger Crossroads ornament. The mist becomes a more bluish purple, almost smoky texture, and the helmet receives a more hard sci-fi-style design.

3 Omnioculus: Leering Marrow

Destiny 2 Leering Marrow Omnioculus Ornament

The Omnioculus has been a staple for Void Hunters for some time now, thanks to its ability to provide a near-infinite amount of smoke bombs to turn themselves and allies invisible. The best part, however, is the damage resistance buff that Hunters gain from invisibility. If the player uses a smoke on an ally, their melee charge rate momentarily improves as well.

The Omnioculus' default look is pretty bizarre, to begin with, and for players who love all things strange and twisted, the Leering Marrow ornament is the perfect way to disturb fellow clanmates and fireteam members. It has that weird, beastly sci-fi monster appearance that might look ugly to some, but none can deny this ornament is truly a unique showstopper.

2 Raiden Flux: Nano Redux

Destiny 2 Raiden Flux Nano Redux Ornament

Raiden Flux is one of those Exotics that hasn't seen much use but might become more relevant as Arc 3.0 rolls out. It buffs Arc Staff by increasing its duration and damage when the player performs fast, successive attacks on targets.

Its default appearance is pretty toned down and simple, which is why the Nano Redux ornament is such a fantastic choice. Whether the player is a Siva-fan or not, it's hard to deny just how cool this Siva-themed ornament is with all the red details and glow. Equip the Outbreak Perfected Exotic pulse rifle, and the player is set with their Siva Hunter.

1 Liar's Handshake: Charmed, I'm Sure

Destiny 2 Liars Handshake Charmed Im Sure Ornament

Another Exotic that could potentially get some more love come Arc 3.0 is Liar's Handshake. Whenever players use their Arc melee or are hit by a melee, they can use a powerful melee that deals more damage and heals them.

In preparation for Arc 3.0 and how good this Exotic might become, players can spice up their Liar's Handshake with a golden snake-themed ornament called Charmed, I'm Sure. It's somewhat similar in style to the Ophidian Aspect Warlock Exotic gauntlets, but its golden exterior makes it look even cooler.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
