One Destiny 2 player mentions an old feature from the original game that would make a big quality of life improvement for those who are looking for the daily Legend and Master Lost Sectors. These PvE activities have been at the forefront of the community as of late, as they're really the only activity in Destiny 2 which makes farming for exotic gear possible. However, one caveat to this is that the Lost Sector needs to be completed solo and on either Master or Legend difficulty.

With the launch of Beyond Light, Bungie has been adding new seasonal and expansion exotic armor into these Lost Sectors as a potential reward. However, fans have noted that the drop rate for these Destiny 2 exotics are incredibly low, leaving most to wonder why these activities require so much effort for such little payoff at the end. Not only that, the more exotics that are added to the game means that target farming specific ones is becoming more difficult as the reward pool expands. As players continue to offer feedback, one Destiny 2 player is asking for a small quality of life update that would make a big difference.

Over on the Destiny 2 subReddit, a user named Marpicek offered a suggestion for a small, yet impactful quality of life update when attempting to find where they are in the game for that day. As the rotation switched daily, Marpicek mentioned it would be helpful to have an indicator on the Director as to where the Legend and Master Lost Sectors are located. Another user named TheAsianCarp followed up by saying it would be even better if players could launch the activity right from orbit instead of first going to the destination and manually running there.

While placing it inside a Destiny 2 node like Vanguard does make a lot of sense, the request mirrors an old feature present in the original game. As user ChimneyImps mentioned, Destiny 1 allowed players to launch into any of the rotating activities right from the Director screen using buttons at the bottom left. While Lost Sectors didn't exist back then, the Destiny feature included things like Daily and Weekly Heroic activities, Crucible match, and other time limited events going on.

While there has been plenty community discussion around Lost Sectors and their rewards, Bungie did acknowledge the difficulties with these activities as of late. In a recent blog post, the studio confirmed that Lost Sectors were originally designed as a way for players to test their builds against "endgame" style content, while also earning exotic gear. It also revealed that they've become less welcoming to newer players while also being less reliable as a target farm. Thankfully, the studio will continue to monitor things following the recent drop rate tweaks.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
