Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is adapted from the events of the first season of the anime series and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train. The game's single-player adventure mode follows Tanjiro Kamado, the series' protagonist, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps as a new recruit and battles against various demons in an effort to avenge his slaughtered family and turn his surviving demon sister Nezuko back into a human.

Demon Slayer’s gameplay involves players taking on demons in arena battles with one of the game's 18 slayers, including six who appeared in the spin-off anime Chuukou Ikkan!! Kimetsu Gakuen Monogatari, each with their own individual skill-set. These battles can be fought in online local play and multiplayer with several boss battles to overcome throughout the main campaign.

Following its release on other platforms, The Hinomaki Chronicles was praised by fans for its stunning visuals, gameplay mechanics, challenging battles, and narrative. As of December 2021, the game has sold over 1.32 million copies worldwide. Fans of the Demon Slayer anime will be pleased to learn that the original voice cast in both Japanese and English languages have returned to reprise their roles.

Demon Slayer-Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles will be released for Nintendo Switch on June 10. It is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
