5 Things Demon Slayer Season 2 Did Better Than Season 3

Despite providing a spectacle that built on preceding releases, Demon Slayer Season 3 fell short of the heights of Season 2 in a number of ways.

Muichiro specialized in Mist Breathing, and he revealed all of his powerful techniques while fighting Gyokko. He was able to take down the demon and save Swordsmith Village from extermination. However, the fight wasn't easy. Muichiro had to be on his A game; otherwise, Gyokko would have slaughtered him.

5 Hantengu

Affiliation: Demons

Hantengu from Demon Slayer

Hantengu was responsible for the large loss of life and property in Swordsmith Village. Initially, the demon appeared weak and cowardly, but it didn't take long for him to show off his real power. Hantengu could create different clones, each of which had a unique ability. These clones made fighting Hantengu much more complicated.

Each clone had an incredible amount of stamina, so they could keep fighting as long as they wanted. The four could also merge into one powerful entity known as Zohakuten. He was able to cause problems for Tanjiro, Genya, Nezuko, and Mitsuri, who were all very talented fighters.

4 Rengoku

Affiliation: Demon Slayers

Rengoku

Rengoku was an incredibly enthusiastic person who was serious about performing his duties as a Hashira. Rengoku trained extensively to become stronger and to help people who are in need. Since Rengoku was the Flame Hashira, he specialized in Flame Breathing.

Rengoku's physical abilities were extraordinary, and they helped him hold his ground against Akaza, one of the most powerful demons in the series. The Hashira had an indomitable will, which impressed his opponent to the point that he asked Rengoku to become a demon.

3 Tengen Uzui

Affiliation: Demon Slayers

Tengen Uzui was the Sound Hashira who played a key supporting role in the Entertainment District arc. He was sent to the area to deal with the demons who were troubling the residents. With the help of Tanjiro and his friends, they managed to draw out the demons.

Tengen Uzui was strong physically, as evidenced by his ability to damage Gyutaro. Tengen's speed was also outstanding, and anytime he moved, it would seem that he was teleporting to another location. Tengen's durability was another one of his notable qualities. He was able to go toe-to-toe with Gyutaro even after being poisoned. Rengoku and Tengen are quite close in terms of overall strength, but the latter has better feats, which puts him ahead of the Flame Hashira.

2 Akaza

Affiliation: Demons

Akaza is one of the Twelve Kizuki, making him much more powerful than any ordinary demon. He held the position of Upper Rank 3, which meant that there were only three demons that were better than him, one of them being Muzan himself.

Akaza showed off his powers in the fight against Rengoku. Even after his limbs were chopped off, Akaza grew them back almost instantly. His physical strength was also extremely impressive. A single punch from Akaza was potent enough to create a massive hole in the ground. Given the amount of power that Akaza had, it is hardly surprising that Rengoku ended up dying in the fight.

1 Muzan

Affiliation: Demons

demon-slayer-muzan

Muzan is the main antagonist of Demon Slayer. Many centuries ago, Muzan was suffering from what was considered an incurable sickness. A doctor kept experimenting, which eventually turned Muzan into a demon. From then on, Muzan began to turn others into demons so that they would do his bidding.

As the demon overlord, Muzan is much stronger than any other character in the series. The Upper Moons are not afraid of fighting the Hashira, yet they cower before Muzan. He has the ability to regenerate from serious wounds in seconds. His physical strength allowed him to overwhelm multiple strong characters at the same time without any problems.
