After a long wait Demon Slayer fans finally have a release date for the anime's highly anticipated Swordsmith Village Arc adaptation. A theatrical event was announced alongside the April 2023 release - not a surprise considering the success of the Mugen Train Arc film adaptation.

The second season aired in October 2021 and finished in February 2022. The third season of Demon Slayer will cover the manga's Swordsmith Village Arc. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- will consist of episodes 10 and 11 of the anime's Entertainment District Arc adaptation as well as an extended version of episode 1 of the anime's Swordsmith Village Arc adaptation.

There will be a red carpet premiere for the film on February 18 at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. Tanjiro voice actor Natsuki Hanae will attend the event alongside producer Yuma Takahashi.

Tickets for the premiere will go on sale starting January 7 on Ticketmaster.

The theatrical release is set for March 3 in the United States and Canada. A promotional trailer for the event was released on December 10.

The anime's main cast will all return, with Ufotable once again handling the series. An exact date for the April release is not yet available, and the exact episode count has yet to be revealed. The Swordsmith Village Arc will focus on the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, and the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji as they face off against an Upper Moon.

The first two seasons of Demon Slayer and the movie Mugen Train are streaming on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll will also simulcast the anime's third season. The manga created by Koyoharo Gotouge and published by Shueisha released its last volume in 2020. Viz Media publishes the series in English.
