An all-time fan favorite and one of the most beloved and iconic characters in the Demon Slayer series, Nezuko Kamado has a way of captivating fans not just with her appearance but also with her powers as a demon.
Even though she may appear weak and fragile at first, once her demon form activates, there's no going back, and she becomes as powerful as some of the strongest characters in the series. Nezuko's story builds up from the time her family fell victim to Muzan's massacre, while her mother and siblings were murdered, Nezuko managed to survive because of Muzan's blood which turned her into a powerful demon.
In The Beginning
Unfortunately for Tanijro, he was left devastated but still had the hope that he could at least one day try to cure his sister and he eventually decided to make it his life's mission to eradicate the world of demons. As a result, Tanjiro decides to join the Demon Slayer Corps to join the fight and ongoing battle between humans and demons which has persisted for centuries. When it comes to Demon Slayers, they use their skills gained from intense training to develop their unique breathing style techniques which gives them the ability to enhance their physical attacks and land powerful damage on demons, some of these techniques are passed down from generation to generation, while some are developed through a Demon Slayer's own methods and learnings.
Demons on the other hand possessed abilities known as Blood Demon Art, the Upper Moons demons were given the ability to enhance their blood demon art with the help of Muzan's blood, giving them potent and extremely powerful abilities such as increased levels of speed and regeneration. Nezuko also possesses a wide array of abilities and powers which gives her the strength to keep up a fight between strong upper moon demons, this is seen when Nezuko goes head-to-head with Daki, an upper moon six demon who found it hard to keep up with Nezuko's attacks, making her a force to be reckoned with. Nezuko's ability to fight in sync with her brother, Tanjiro makes the two of them an unstoppable duo.
Blood Demon Art And Abilities
One of Nezuko's blood demon art manifests as a technique known as "Pyrokinesis", enabling her to manipulate and create special demonic flames with her blood which are pink, the specialty of using these flames is that it can only be harmful to demons, she is also able to channel her flames through certain materials, this is seen when Nezuko holds onto Daki's threads as a way to channel the flames and engulf the demon in her flames. She is also able to use her flames as a way of healing humans and burning away poison to save their lives. In the Swordsmith village arc, Nezuko holds onto Tanjiro's nichirn sword engulfing the sword in flames which gave him the advantage to take on Hantengu as the sword was able to easily slice through the neck of Hantengu's clones that were attacking them.
Another one of Nezuko's abilities revolves around her abnormal demon physiology, she is able to restore her power without the need to consume human blood, and she recovers by catching up on her sleep to gain her strength back. In her full demon form, she is able to enter a psychotic break which enhances her attacks, and is also able to regenerate at immense speeds. Nezuko's ability to resist sunlight while useful, still puts her on the radar of Muzan, as no demon has been able to achieve this making her a potential target for demons and Muzan's hunt to make himself invincible.
Blood Manipulation is also an additional blood demon art that Nezuko uses to control her regenerative abilities, by using this technique she was able to use her blood manipulation technique to pull her severed body parts back into place by controlling the blood flow when her limbs and head were severed by Daki. In terms of hand-to-hand combat, Nezuko uses her powerful legs and nails to land powerful blows on demons, she also uses her intense speeds to dodge attacks while also supporting Tanjiro during his fights. Exploding blood is another blood demon technique that she can use in her awakened form, this offensive technique allows her to ignite the blood that exits her body to hurt demons.
Finally, Nezuko is the first demon who was accepted into the Demon Slayer Corps and is one of the most powerful characters in the Demon Slayer series, she is a fan favorite worldwide and watching her fight demons always has viewers on the edge of their seats. However, her struggle to find the human inside her is still a battle she fights within and is a driving force in the series as she joins her brother in the fight against evil.
