7 Nakime

Nakime took the spot of the Upper Rank 4 in the Twelve Kizuki after the defeat of the former Upper Moon 4, Hantengu, during the events of the Swordsmith Village arc. Nakime is an interesting demon, having only a single eye and using a biwa.

In fact, Nakime is quite a talented Biwa player. When she was a human, she was an amateur biwa player who was married to an awful man who gambled away all her money. One night she eventually murdered her husband out of anger as he had gambled her kimono. When she played the biwa afterwards for the crowd, it was a performance better than she had ever done before. From that moment on, she would kill a person before any performance she delivered.

6 Mitsuri Kanroji

Mitsuri Kanroji is a member of the Hashira. She is the Love Hashira, to be specific, and is quite a powerful fighter, making use of her Love Breathing. Mitsuri is a very kind person, despite her shy attitude.

Unlike most people in Demon Slayer, she actually had quite a good childhood, being raised in a loving family. Her unnatural strength is what made her stand out, however, that also made it hard for her to find a male partner, as she wasn’t seen as ladylike. She eventually joined the Hashira just to find a husband.

5 Daki

Daki is a major antagonist, alongside her brother, Gyutaro, during Demon Slayer’s Entertainment District arc. With her brother, she held the position of Upper Rank 6 in the 12 Kizuki. Daki can be quite childish, despite being quite old. She also shows a lot of cruelty often, especially to her victims.

Despite all of that, Daki had quite a tragic background. When she was a human, she and her brother had a very tough life, living in extreme poverty. The only person she shows some care for is her brother. They both have a very strong bond, despite her attitude.

4 Tamayo

Tamayo is an essential character that plays an essential role in Demon Slayer. She is one the oldest demons in the story, even older than the 12 Kizuki. She is a very knowledgeable woman, especially when it comes to demons and medicine. With her knowledge, she was able to do the impossible – reverse a demon transformation.

1 Shinobu Kocho

Her sister died at the hands of Doma, the Upper Rank 2 Demon, someone Shinobu fights.

Shinobu knew she could never beat Doma, as, despite all her skills, she is physically weak and can only poison him. Her plan was such that she would trick him into eating her, and poison him deeply, allowing Inosuke and Kanao to finish him off. Shinobu plays a vital role in Demon Slayer, and the ultimate victory against Muzan wouldn’t have been possible without her.
