Demon Slayer just keeps getting better with every episode and lately, it has even addressed one of its most glaring issues ever since the Hashira was introduced: an appalling lack of Nezuko. She's been kept in that box for too long and that's not good for her health. That partly explains the Upper Moon-level crankiness as Nezuko finally unleashes her full strength during the Entertainment District Arc.

It's one of the most defining moments of her character and something that fans have been waiting for for a long time. The payoff was worth it, of course. The series is finally giving its second main character some justice and it goes to show how far Nezuko has come. To prove that point further, it's worth taking a look at Nezuko's finest moments in the anime.

8 Transformation Tumble (Season 1, Episode 1)

Nezuko wouldn't be as memorable as she is right now if it wasn't for a rather troublesome introduction. Most of her existence in the Demon Slayer anime sees Nezuko as a convert of Muzan – a demoness capable of changing her age and size as well as demonic physical capabilities and magical powers.

All that cuteness came with a cost as she almost killed and ate her brother, Tanjiro, in the very first episode of the show. It wasn't just Tanjiro whom Nezuko fought but also one of the Hashira, Giyu Tomioka. Thanks to Nezuko, the viewers got a showcase of the horrors of demons and demonic conversion along with a prelude to her and Tanjiro's plight in their newfound world.

7 Shapeshifting Shenanigans (Season 1, Episode 2)

But of course, it wasn't enough to just show Nezuko's demonic powers in a negative light (basically darkness). She also had to use her demon powers in the most adorable way possible – by helping Tanjiro carry her easier. Nezuko shed some pounds by de-aging her body, which is practically a limited shapeshifting power.

This way, Tanjiro was able to carry her in a woven basket, making their sibling interactions endearingly bizarre. Despite how cute Nezuko is in her child form, she's still a man-eating predator capable of killing her brother with relative (no pun intended) ease.

6 Killer Kick-Off (Season 1, Episode 2)

It wasn't until the very second episode of the show that Nezuko began flexing her demonic strength and agility. As it turns out, she's quite the kicker and would go on to develop this simple fighting style and hone it to perfection. In hindsight, she doesn't actually know how to fight but was compelled to kick another demon's head clean off in an attempt to help and save her brother from getting killed and eaten.

Suffice to say, it was a rather surprising move and show of force for both the viewers and the recipient demon. While everyone expected Nezuko to at least be menacing as a demoness, no one (save for the manga readers) probably anticipated that she could decapitate an opponent more intimidating than her with nothing but a kick. If the shapeshifting hasn't won viewers over at this point, then the kicking should have sealed the deal.

5 Ball Buster (Season 1, Episode 10)

Despite kicking a demon's head off, viewers don't exactly get to see Nezuko's full capabilities before facing a Twelve Kizuki aspirant named Susamaru. Susamaru is best-known as the Temari demon who uses a ball to toy with her victims as she could throw and kick the ball with enough force to tear off limbs or turn humans into swiss cheese.

Alas, Nezuko showed Susamaru that her demon gimmick is nothing special. She did this by punting the temari back to Susamaru at frightening speeds. To add insult to injury, Nezuko even "defeated" her in her own mini soccer ego game where she kicked the ball with enough force that Susamaru couldn't catch it. Nezuko sure knew how to settle a score.

4 Zenitsu Zinger (Season 1, Episode 14)

Not all Nezuko moments end up with her wiping the floor with other demons and flexing those leg muscles. Just as when she was starting to look rather barbaric, out came Zenitsu to remind everyone that Nezuko is still a local town beauty. At least that's what Tanjiro brags about.

Zenitsu agrees wholeheartedly, especially the first time he saw Nezuko. It awakened him something fierce, which is a testament to Nezuko's beauty. The whole scene is also hilarious as it's the first time Zenitsu lays eyes on Nezuko – an odd situation as he had already spent quite a considerable amount of time traveling and fighting alongside Tanjiro with Nezuko on his back.

3 Kanao Kowtow (Season 1, Episode 21)

It doesn't matter how pretty Nezuko is. To Demon Slayer corps, she's still a demon, and Kanao, a vigilant member of the corps, made it clear that she didn't want to hand out exceptions to her demon-slaying. Surprisingly enough, Nezuko proved to be both agile and resourceful enough to escape a high-ranking demon slayer assaulting her.

By shrinking down to her smallest bipedal form, Nezuko somehow managed to make Kanao look like a joke. Her stubby legs actually outran Kanao, though it could be argued that the latter wasn't performing her full effort during the chase. Regardless, Nezuko wouldn't have been killed thanks to Giyu.

2 Haughty Hashira (Season 1, Episode 23)

So far, there haven't been many opportunities that forced Nezuko to test her willpower against feasting on humans. That is until the Hashira had their way with her and started testing the extent of her demon instincts. It was by far Nezuko's most humanizing moment as Sanemi, the Wind Hashira, even went the extra mile to slash his hand to tempt Nezuko to attack.

Much to their dismay, Nezuko was able to restrain herself and refrain from attacking another human even at the sight of blood, despite being hungry for years. It was probably the first time the Hashira were proven wrong that didn't involve killing them.

1 Decimating Daki (Season 3 - Entertainment District Arc, Episode 7)

nezuko true form in demon slayer

Those who missed this moment will need to catch up quickly before the wayward social media clips spoil it. Because it's by far the most hyped Nezuko sequence in the anime. It was Nezuko straight-up fighting the Upper Moon 6, Daki, in a fair fight and winning with style.

Ever wondered what Nezuko's supposed to look like with the restraints removed? Then here she is in her full glory with a horn and tattoos to boot. Needless to say, Nezuko was ready to eviscerate Daki and proved herself as Hashira or Upper Moon-level in terms of strength. What Daki suffered under Nezuko's hands (or feet) only to be humiliated afterward by Tengen Uzui can only be summed up as Total Concentration Bullying.
