Deltarune creator Toby Fox has given a new update about the progress of the game's in-development Chapter 3, claiming that the newest chapter of the beloved game is nearly complete. Following the massive success of 2015's Undertale, Toby Fox has become a household name within the gaming industry as one of its most recognizable indie developers. Undertale's success even saw iconic character Sans added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Mii costume, complete with a remix of beloved song Megalovania. Now, Toby Fox's newest project is nearing a major milestone with its development.

Starting development years before Undertale's release, Deltarune launched the first chapter of the highly-anticipated spiritual successor in 2018. The game features a more traditional combat system compared to Undertale's unique gameplay, putting players in the role of a teenager whisked away to the game's "Dark World." Toby Fox officially launched the game's second chapter in late 2021, while also giving regular updates on the development of upcoming chapters. Now, Deltarune's Chapter 3 is reportedly nearing completion, according to Toby Fox.
