Video gaming aside, Karl's Bay is an exciting area in Deathloop. There are amusement park attractions, eternalists, planes, hangers, firecrackers, game shows, and secrets. Aside from the danger of the guards, it might very well be an adventurous vacation spot for a person hungry for fun and intrigue.

For Colt, Deathloop is no game and Karl's Bay is no exception. The "games" are a means of winning important weapons or uncovering vital information. And it should be mentioned that if Colt wants to have any hope in breaking the loop, he'll be required to visit this area at least once per day.

Any Time Of Day

Deathloop Karl's Bay Delivery Booth Along The Roadside

The Delivery Booth for Karl's Bay is one of the easiest to access, located directly up the road to the left of the entrance and visible from almost any point along the road thanks to some open spacing.

Deathloop Colt Coming Across The Yerhva

Most of the "amusement park" attractions are closed or inoperational until the evening. The exception is The Yerhva, a quiz game that asks Colt facts about Blackreef and Colt's fellow visionaries. Much of this information is unknown until after beating the game several times, but trial and error, day-by-day, will get Colt the answers eventually.

Deathloop Killing An Enemy Julianna From The Rooftops In Karl's Bay

The rooftops provide an excellent view of the area, especially if Colt needs to pick up a kill on an enemy Julianna. There is a turret and a guard to watch out for, but the brave are well-rewarded. A hacked turret is handy and the guard carries elite trinkets.

Deathloop Spotting A Safe In The 7 House In Karl's Bay

There are a couple of safes in the area. One is next to the Yerhva and will be part of a lead that Colt chases down, the other is in the shack across from the hangers by the shore. It's labeled with the number '7' in case Colt is struggling to find it.

Morning

Deathloop Visionary Leads For Karl's Bay In The Morning

The morning is the most exciting time to be in Karl's Bay. Going here in the morning is required in order to break the loop.

Deathloop Placing A Turret Behind Harriet

Harriet is in the hanger, giving a speech to her eternalist cohorts inside of a hanger. She is very much in the public eye and two guards stand directly behind her (and another one above her). It is possible to take out these guards quietly, but her captive audience is certainly going to react when their beloved leader gets taken out.

There is a man called the Amador hanging from a crane in the room. If Colt doesn't kill him and Harriet dies, he will open a room later on in the day.

Deathloop Location Of Two Purple Items In Harriet's Office

Before leaving the hanger, check out Harriet's office (the windows are guarded with laser mines). Inside, there is a special Fourpounder under her pillow. Next to her computer, she's got a purple exemplar trinket. An Aether or Shift trinket will get players through the traps. A careful angle will also allow Colt to disable the traps from the outside.

Deathloop Jamming The Rain Flaps From The Fireworks Launcher

Attached to this hanger by the shore is a locked shack with a laptop that allows Colt to mess with the fireworks display. By selecting "Jam the Rain Flaps," Ramblin' Frank will die in an "accident" during the evening regardless of which location Colt is in at that time. Please note that the code for this shack is not available until completing "The Ballad of Ramblin' Frank" visionary lead.

Noon

Deathloop Seeing That There Is Nothing To Do In Karl's Bay At Noon

Sadly, there is nothing to do in Karl's Bay at noon. So much nothing to do, in fact, that the game actually doesn't allow Colt to visit during this time.

Afternoon

Deathloop Unauthorized Experiment At Karl's Bay During The Afternoon

Although it appears that the eternalists are all on the same page, a group of them are actually trying to show up Dr. Wenjie Evans with an experiment of their own. It doesn't go as planned, but Colt can get to the device in time for the aftermath, charge the machine, and get four purple trinkets.

Deathloop Spotting The Seaplane Looters In Karl's Bay

Looters are scavenging a plane crash. Colt has a chance to loot the looters during the afternoon, they've managed to get ahold of an elite weapon. Just watch out for the two of them and their turrets, they get pretty defensive about their findings.

Evening

Deathloop Completing The Heritage Gun Arsenal Lead

The evenings are when the big attractions come to life in Blackreef and the most thrilling part of the carnival is right here in Karl's Bay. The most important of these attractions is the one that leads to the Heritage Gun. Charlie's game involves gathering boxes from Karl's Bay without destroying any of them or failing any puzzles.

Deathloop Karl's Bay Room That Opens If The Power Is Restored

If power has been returned to Karl's Bay, players can find more clues regarding the "Afternoon Delight" visionary lead. Inside this same room with the clues is an elite weapon, so those who have already solved this puzzle still might find some use for it.

Deathloop Map That labels Prize Boxes For The Heritage Gun

Those who are struggling will definitely want to check out how to unlock the Heritage Gun. The puzzles and challenges change every day and are random for every player.

Deathloop Cat Fall Trinket Location Quest Updaam Step Six

Players who launched the cannon in Updaam earlier will find the body of the eternalist in Hanger One, along with his Cat Fall trinket. This is the hanger directly next to Harriet's original location in Hanger Two. There is a bridge between both hangers, for those having trouble finding a convenient entrance.

Deathloop Note On The Entrance To Amador's Shop

Lastly, for those who saved Amador in the morning, make sure to get to his shop before the start of the next loop. His shop can be marked under the discoveries tab and there is an elite item inside, ready for pickup.

Deathloop was released on September 14, 2021, and is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
