Where to Get the Plasma Cutter in the Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Plasma Cutter

The Plasma Cutter is the first weapon that players find at the beginning of chapter one. It can be used as a ranged or melee weapon, which is handy in most situations. After crashing into Ishimura, Isaac narrowly escapes an encounter with the creatures that have taken over by getting into an elevator that leads him toward a workroom with the Plasma Cutter. Players should take a left from the elevator, which will lead them toward an ominous warning, "Cut off their limbs," written on the wall behind a workbench with The Plasma Cutter.

Plasma Cutter Upgrades

Cartridge Rack: After detonating the Explosive Charge in chapter 2, players will find the Cartridge Rack inside the Ishimura Medical Clinic to the left of the entrance.

Heat Accumulator: The Heat Accumulator can be purchased at the Store for 11,000 credits.

Weighted Blades: The Weighted Blades are found during chapter 8 inside the COMMS Maintenance locker room.

Where to Get the Pulse Rifle in the Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Pulse Rifle

The Pulse Rifle is the first automatic weapon that players get. The Pulse Rifle shoots proximity grenades as an alternative fire mode in exchange for 25 rounds. When taking on large enemies or enemy hordes, it can get a lot of damage done fast.

In chapter two, Issac finds a dying marine at the Medical Deck tram station. The marine will drop the Pulse Rifle, and players can use it as their second weapon. Players will also be able to get the Kinesis Module in the Med Deck, which allows them to move large objects.

High-Yield Grenades: Players will need Master Override Clearance. This is done by completing the "You Are Not Authorized" side mission. The High-Yield Grenades are found inside a locker in the Water Purification Storage room in the Main Atrium.

Where to Get the Ripper in the Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Ripper

The Ripper is a powerful weapon to add to Isaacs's arsenal. It's beneficial for cutting off limbs at close range but also has a long-range mode. During chapter three, when it's time to refuel the engines, players will need to explore the Engineering Deck. This takes them through the Machine Shop where the Ripper is found. After going downstairs, players stumble upon a gruesome scene and find a beheaded body. The Ripper is lying right next to the body on the floor.

Ripper Upgrades

Where to Get the Flamethrower in the Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Flamethrower

Another weapon found in chapter three is the Flamethrower. The Flamethrower deals lots of damage and also damages over time when enemies are hit with it. Players must enter the Engine room to get things up and running manually. The Engine room is in the Engineering Deck control room with a sign on the door pointing the way. Directly after entering the room, there's a corpse tangled up inside the Necromorph growth on the wall holding the Flamethrower.

Flamethrower Upgrades

Gellified Hydrazine: The Gellified Hydrazine is available at the Store for 11,500 credits in chapter 3 after players find the Flamethrower.

Where to Get the Contact Beam in the Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Contact Beam

Unlike the other weapons in Dead Space, the story doesn't take players through encountering the Contact Beam. Players will have to seek it out after starting chapter four when Isaac is sent to reroute the power from the Mining Admin to the ADS Cannons. The Contact Beam packs a punch and allows players to take out enemies easily from a distance.

To find the Contact Beam in the Dead Space remake, they'll need to take the elevator in the Bridge Deck atrium to the second floor. Next, they should follow along the corridor and through a space vacuum that leads to the Records Office. Players will need Security Clearance Lvl. 2 to unlock the door. The Contact Beam is sitting on the floor near the door.

Contact Beam Upgrades

Supersymmetry Tether: The Supersymmetry Tether is available at the Store for 12,000 credits in chapter 4 after players find the Contact Beam.

Where to Get the Line Gun in the Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Line Gun

The Line Gun is a powerful weapon reminiscent of the Plasma Cutter. It's very effective for knocking down Necromorphs, so players will want to get their hands on it as soon as possible. They have two opportunities: chapter four before repairing the ADS Cannons or chapter five during the run-in with the notorious Hunter. After entering the Emergency Room, they should find ER Hallway A. Players will see a Security Clearance Lvl. 2 door, and, after opening it, they will discover the Line Gun in the middle of the room.

Where to Get the Force Gun in the Dead Space Remake

Dead Space Force Gun

The last weapon that players can get in Dead Space is the Force Gun. The Force Gun can often one-hit Necromorphs and works best whenever enemies are in close range. Its alternate firing mode pulls enemies toward it, so, once mastered, it's unstoppable.

In chapter six, players find themselves in the Hydroponics Deck hub. Once they do, they should go to the West Tower and take the elevator to the West Grow Chamber. Then, they simply need to go inside and unlock the Security Clearance Lvl. 2 door on the left side of the room. The Force Gun is easy to spot sitting in the following room.
