The Dead Space remake is set to bring the popular survival-horror game to modern platforms with vast improvements, including better graphics and audio design. Developer EA Motive is being incredibly transparent with Dead Space fans when it comes to the remake, hosting livestreams that give them early looks at some of the changes coming in the new version of the game. One of the latest Dead Space remake livestreams focused on the game's audio presentation, which resulted in some feedback from the community.

It seems not everyone was impressed with how the Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle sounded in the Dead Space remake audio livestream, and so developer EA Motive has listened to those concerns and adjusted accordingly. EA Motive has released a new Dead Space remake video that showcases the Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle as they appear in the original game, the audio livestream, and now after the changes have been implemented.

EA Motive has changed the Plasma Cutter sound effects to better match the feel of the original game, while the Pulse Rifle is now "more chaotic." EA Motive has also made it so there is more audio feedback when players shoot surfaces with the weapons. And it seems that many Dead Space fans are happy with these latest changes, but beyond that, they are impressed that EA Motive actually seems to be taking feedback into account.

The latest Dead Space livestream focused on the game's audio design, but the next will be about its visuals. Along with explaining the changes it made to the Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle, developer EA Motive also revealed that a Dead Space remake art livestream will take place in May. A specific date for this stream has not been announced at the time of this writing, but more information should come to light in the weeks ahead.

As for when fans will actually get to play the game for themselves, that also remains to be seen. It was originally believed that the game would be out by the end of the year, but it has since been confirmed that the Dead Space remake release date is somewhere in early 2023.

EA has canceled its EA Play 2022 plans, so it's hard to determine when more information on the Dead Space remake's release date will be revealed, but there are plenty of other gaming events in 2022 where it could be featured. For now, Dead Space fans can look forward to the EA Motive livestreams on the game's development progresses.

Dead Space will launch in early 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
