You'll find in the Dead Island 2 Haus DLC, there are many secrets, hidden quests, and missions in general. Some of these quests will be pretty straight forward; however, there are a few that can be a bit tricky to figure out. This is especially true when everyone has a different experience with it.

When it comes to The Invitation, it might be a quick mission, but it can get confusing pretty quickly. Luckily, there are some tips and tricks you can utilize during this mission to ensure you complete it without a hitch.

Dead Island 2: Haus - Forget Me Not Key Location

As with all the keys in Dead Island 2, the Forget Me Not key can be pretty difficult to find in the Haus DLC, but not impossible.

How To Start 'The Invitation' In Dead Island 2's Haus DLC

While it doesn't take too long to complete the Haus DLC for Dead Island 2, there are quite a few missions you can complete. The Invitation will be your first main mission once you initiate the DLC. You will interact with the invitation for Haus at Emma's Mansion located in Bel-Air. This invitation should be somewhere around the hot tub, though some have reported it is on a table near the tennis court. Simply follow the orange icon on your screen to find it.

Explore the building ahead of you after you wake up. Continue through the building following your marker until two double doors open. When you enter, you'll notice a few headless corpses sitting on chairs in a circle. Inspect everything you can around the room, including the heads, doors, statues, and the ancient art.

Find The Haus Rites of Passage In Dead Island 2

Make your way back to the head on the floor in front of the corpse and interact with it. After speaking with Vincent, go through the open door behind him. Defeat any enemies that pop out. Be sure to equip your strongest weapons, maybe any legendary weapons in Dead Island 2, as there will be a lot of walkers in this quest. Wait until the dialogue ends, then interact with the switch.

You will be tasked with finding the final Rite of Passage and enduring agony. You'll want to enter the first house on your right. There will be many walkers for you to clear, starting with the bathroom right when you go up the stairs. Heading down the hall, clear the walkers from the room on your left. Going up into the attic at the end of the hall will initiate a dialogue that brings you to the next part of the mission.

Go back down the stairs and into the closet on your left to clear a walker and grab a red valve wheel. Return to the attic and place the wheel on the furnace to ignite it. Head outside, take a right down the sidewalk, and go to the next house on your left. Straight ahead, there will be stairs to the basement on your right.

Find The Final Rite Of Passage In Dead Island 2

Now, you'll need to electrocute yourself in a pool of blood. You can do this by using an electric weapon of some sort, like an electric star. Simply throw it in the blood and step into it. Some people have reported that you must fully die and reenter the house, then electrocute yourself again without dying to get the door open. However, if you continuously heal while being electrocuted, you can avoid death, and the door will still open.

Once the door is open, go through the vent to your left and up the stairs through the next barred door. If you go up the staircase to your left, you'll notice the door slams shut and will be locked. After a few seconds, enemies will appear that you need to get rid of.

When you have cleared the area, the door at the top of the stairs will open.

After you walk through the door at the top of the stairs, turn left and head through that doorway to find the staircase that leads upstairs. At the end of the hall, you'll find an attic door again where now you'll find a microphone. Listen to a recording, and once that is done, you'll be told to give a confession. Interact with the prompt on the microphone to tell a secret.

When you've finished your confession, you must go back down the stairs and out the front door. Take a left down the sidewalk and run to the very last house straight ahead of you. Another recording will begin as you make your way through the living room to your left and down the slope. You'll make your way to another bloody pool, and the quest will end.

Quest Reward For Completing 'The Invitation'

Your reward for completing The Invitation will be 1250 XP and Veronique's Gift, which should begin playing automatically.
