As players work through Dead Cells' Return to Castlevania DLC, they may encounter a locked door that can only be opened by the Ribonned Key. Alternatively, some fans may find this key, but be unclear about where they are meant to use it. This guide is here to assist players in both situations, and full details on Dead Cells' Ribonned Key can be found in what follows.

Dead Cells: How to Get Ribonned Key

In order to obtain the Ribonned Key, players must locate Byakko, a white cat that runs around within the Castle's Outskirts. Unfortunately, it is not possible to detail a precise position for this cat, as it has a chance to appear throughout this first level in Dead Cells' Castlevania DLC. Its color and motion do make the creature quite noticeable, though, and players should be on the lookout for it near the drawbridge, elevator, and underground rooms.

Once the white cat has been spotted, Dead Cells players should put their efforts toward catching it. This is done simply by holding down the interact button when in contact with the feline, and an onscreen prompt will appear when the option is available. If a player is successful in catching the white cat, the Ribonned Key will spring forth from the creature, and it can be collected with the interact button.

Dead Cells: Where to Use Ribonned Key

After obtaining the Ribonned Key, players should set their sights on the area near the end of the Castle's Outskirts. For full clarity, this is the section that is just beyond the level's tall tower, which fans will navigate with the help of a large elevator, and there are several underground rooms within it. A door is situated in one of those underground rooms, and indeed it can be opened with the help of the Ribonned Key.

As soon as players pass through the Ribonned Key door, they will have the opportunity to interact with Castlevania's Maria Renard. Fans will receive the Maria Renard Outfit Blueprint when this interaction comes to a close, and they can start putting their Cells toward unlocking the cosmetic the next time that they speak with the Collector.

Players may also want to take a moment to pet the cat before leaving Maria's cell. For full clarity, Byakko is sleeping just to the left of the table that is inside the cell, and interacting with it will transform the creature into a secondary skill that can be used to "unleash a flurry of slashes" upon enemies in Dead Cells.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
