A recent update for Dead by Daylight has fixed a number of issues with the new Resident Evil killer, Albert Wesker, known as The Mastermind within the game. This new update makes the character more powerful in some regards while eliminating certain bugs that gave him a few unfair advantages. The update also fixes a number of other issues that have been plaguing Dead by Daylight for some time.

Late last month a new piece of Resident Evil DLC for Dead by Daylight went live worldwide. Titled Project W, the Dead by Daylight DLC introduced a set of new Resident Evil characters as survivors for the asymmetrical horror game as well as Albert Wesker as a new killer. As a killer, Wesker primarily uses a knife and his Uroboros tentacles for his attacks while taunting the survivors with lines featured in the main Resident Evil games. Now a new update has buffed the character, giving him better tools to hunt the survivors.

It has been noted that Dead by Daylight's Albert Wesker takes practice to master, but the basics are by no means difficult to comprehend. This new patch, however, will give players new tools to better stalk the survivors. The buffs for Albert Wesker in Dead by Daylight increase the size of his survivor detection for triggering grabs with his Virtulent Bond ability. Damage done with the Virtulent Bond will now count towards the Chaser emblem. In addition to the upgrades, the developers have also patched a few issues that had been plaguing the character up until now.

In the past, the developers have had to release patches soon after new content was released. One such Dead by Daylight update primarily involved Silent Hill characters which fixed bugs and balanced characters. This new patch also deals with a few bugs that gave the Virtulent Bond ability a few unfair advantages. Up until the patch was released, these bugs allowed Wesker to grab survivors through thin walls and on stairs. After being slammed by the ability sometimes survivor characters would clip into environmental assets. The patch also deals with a number of other glitches regarding infections and SFX issues that occur when the ability is used. Hopefully, this patch will keep players from having to deal with such frustrating issues in the future.

The new Resident EvilDead by Daylight DLC was officially announced in early August before going live at the end of the month. The characters included in the DLC were Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers alongside Albert Wesker as the new killer. Other Resident Evil characters like Nemesis, Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Clair Redfield had been included in previous updates. Whether the developer adds any more characters from the franchise to the asymmetrical horror game remains to be seen.

Dead by Daylight is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
