Dead by Daylight announced that it will reveal a new game at The Game Awards, developed by Supermassive Games in collaboration with Behaviour Interactive. Although the studios are remaining tight-lipped about the future Dead by Daylight project, they hinted at what the new game will be like.

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer game in which one player takes on the role of a killer, while the other players must evade the killer as they work together to complete various tasks. Dead by Daylight features a wide variety of characters that players can choose from, all of which have their own unique traits. While Dead by Daylight's developer, Behaviour Interactive, has stated that it intends to treat the game as a live-service title and does not have plans for a sequel, fans were intrigued when it was previously announced that work had begun on two spin-off games. One of these Dead by Daylight projects is being revealed very soon.

Supermassive has released other horror games like The Quarry, Until Dawn, and The Dark Pictures Anthology, all of which were well-received titles.
