Dead by Daylight single-player game The Casting of Frank Stone has been revealed. Most fans know Dead by Daylight as an asymmetrical horror 4v1 game, so The Casting of Frank Stone will be a much different kind of experience. With the rich lore set by Dead by Daylight, the new game looks to pave the way for expanding the original characters and settings found in the franchise.

Behaviour is teaming with Supermassive Games for this new project. With Supermassive's own history of working on games such as Until Dawn, The Quarry, and Little Nightmares, to name a few, this partnership has a lot of potential. Supermassive's strength is in its storytelling and narrative work, so many fans expect that the upcoming title will follow in those footsteps. Whether Supermassive's experience with terrifying monsters will come into play is still an unknown factor, but it should prove interesting.

Dead by Daylight Is Crossing Over With Unexpected Ubisoft Game

Asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game Dead by Daylight unveils its unusual new crossover with a popular Ubisoft game.

The Casting of Frank Stone is set to release in 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Behaviour's Mathieu Cote was excited to confirm the official details of the previously teased new entry in the Dead by Daylight franchise. The upcoming title will be a heart-pounding narrative set in the world of Dead by Daylight similar to The Dark Pictures: Anthology. The player will get to make decisions to shape the game's story.

The game will be set in the fictional location of Cedar Hills and will include a cast of young friends trying to uncover Frank Stone's legacy. It is yet unknown whether any of the survivors or killers from Dead by Daylight will make an appearance or if all new characters will be introduced. The trailer that came out seemed to show fresh faces but gave the same vibe as Dead by Daylight. Interestingly enough, the franchise's trademark hook was also shown in the video, adding to the feel of the teaser.

While it was also not mentioned, many fans already expect that whichever killer or survivor will be introduced in the game could also debut in Dead by Daylight soon after. With Dead by Daylight's road map for 2024, there a lot of dates where the game's assets can come in. This new collaboration between Supermassive Games and Behaviour Interactive could start more crossovers between the two companies if it succeeds.
