Dead by Daylight has revealed three new cosmetics inspired by Resident Evil as part of its Lunar New Year event. Featuring two skins for survivors and one for killer, Dead by Daylight's latest collaboration introduces some of the most detailed cosmetics in the history of the game.

Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil have a historied working relationship, having collaborated on two different chapters for the asymmetrical title, the most recent of which brought Wesker to Dead by Daylight. Skins have been another focal point of these collaborative efforts, with several Legendary tier cosmetic sets being added that allow players to take on the appearance of various characters from the Resident Evil series. Though Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Rebecca Chambers are the four characters added to the game directly from Resident Evil, players can utilize cosmetic sets to additionally play as characters such as Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar of Resident Evil 5.

The Resident Evil x LNY Collection will introduce three new cosmetics to the Dead by Daylight store. The first is a legendary cosmetic set for the Blight, one of the strongest killers in the game, that transforms his appearance into that of the heavily mutated William Birkin from Resident Evil 2. The skin is immensely detailed, most notably featuring the bulging eyeball erupting from Birkin's right shoulder in addition to a set of sounds created solely for the skin.

The two other cosmetics, which are easily some of the best cosmetics in Dead by Daylight, are for existing Resident Evil characters Ada Wong and Jill Valentine. Ada's "Lunar Qipao" and Jill's "Revelations Gear" attire sees them don iconic outfits from past Resident Evil games. All three cosmetics are purchasable via the in-game store and have been confirmed as mainstays rather than time-limited items only available as part of the Lunar New Year event. However, all three cosmetics are also sets, meaning players will have to wear all of their parts at once rather than being able to mix and match them at their leisure.

With the Lunar New Year festivities set to kick off just days after Dead by Daylight's Bone Chill event came to an end, players will have much to enjoy over the coming weeks. Even if they don't want to fork over real money for the Resident Evil x LNY collection, the incoming mid-chapter patch changes will shake the game up and add another layer of excitement.

Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
