The Dead by Daylight fandom is all rumbling over the latest teaser, which revealed their next license would be that of tabletop giant Dungeons and Dragons. A small teaser showed what appears to be a frenzied Beholder throwing itself at the bars of a dungeon cell, while a deep and dark chuckle echoes in the background.

Dead By Daylight: Every DLC, Ranked

The developers for Dead By Daylight are constantly trying to keep things fresh with new DLC. Here are all the DLC packs so far, ranked!

The anniversary trailer revealed that the Beholder was merely a red herring or would be part of the map's ambiance, as the Killer is confirmed to be the dread Lich Vecna, the Undying King who has featured in D&D lore and campaigns for years, and due to his undying nature, likely for many more. With a Killer of this magnitude, there needs to be a Survivor to match. So far, only a lone bard has been unfortunate enough to be pulled into the fog alongside him, but if any of D&D's legendary heroes join her, they may just stand a chance.

6 Dove Falconhand

Another Hardened and Skilled Survivor

Dove Falconhand

Another character from the mythos of Drizzt, Dove Falconhand was another legendary hero who was originally tasked with tracking and stopping Drizzt, but eventually learned of Drizzt's heroism and came to respect him, and even work alongside him.

Though she may not be as iconic as the drow himself, Dove is still well-known enough that she could secure her place on the Survivor roster. She fought until the bitter end of her life, demonstrating the grit and strength needed to survive the trials.

5 Minsc and Boo

Adds Some Lacking Adorability

Minsc and Boo official image

The famed ranger Minsc is never too far away from his beloved hamster Boo, and together the duo have taken the Forgotten Realms, and games like the Baldur's Gate series, by storm. He is a large and muscled man with a heart of gold and cherishes nothing more in the world than his adorable little hamster, Boo.

Minsc is a returning character in BG3. Here's how the players can get the best out of him.

Thus far, the fog has been devoid of anything cute and cuddly other than Jones appearing as a lobby animation while queuing as Ellen Ripley. Minsc could definitely fix this where he added, as wherever this ranger is, his adorable hamster is not far behind.

4 Elminister

Would Add a Wholly Unique Survivor

baldurs-gate-3-elminster-aumar

Elminster is one of the most renowned wizards of all time, being one of Mystra's chosen, and his name reaching far and wide across the Forgotten Realms. He is an iconic hero among the innocent, and a scourge to the wicked, having saved the land from the forces of evil on multiple occasions.

The Entity has already taken those with magical abilities before, as characters such as Mikaela can bless totems, and Sable is able to cast an invocation. As such, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Elminster could be the next hero to join the roster of Survivors, and he could bring with him some new invocations or boons.

3 Ezmerelda d'Avenir

A Monster Hunt Would Be Fantastic Prey for the Monsters

Van Richten and Esmerelda D'aviner face off against the dread lord Strahd.

In the gothic horror campaign of dread Curse of Strahd, there are a few heroes that can aid the party in their conquest over the dread vampiric lord, with one of the best being Ezmerelda d'Avenir. Ezmerelda is under the tutelage of legendary scholar and vampire hunter Rudolph Van Richten.

Dungeons and Dragons 5e Official Adventure Module Tier List

Dungeons and Dragons will soon be seeing a big change, leaving the last decade of 5e with a strong catalog of adventure modules.

She is another caster, though not as apt as other heroes such as Elminster, she has many equipment and tricks up her sleeve to try and give herself an edge above the monsters lurking in the fog of Barovia. Though the fog of DbD is a whole other story, Ezmerelda is still worthy of a role as Survivor, as she could have perks that allow her to fight back, similar to Ripley’s Chemical Trap or Laurie’s Decisive Strike.

2 Jarlaxle Baenre

This Charming Anti-Hero Could be a Welcome Addition to the Fog

Jarlaxle Baenre

While more of an anti-hero than an actual hero, Jarlaxle is another popular drow from RA Salvatore's books. Discontent with a matriarchal society, he decided to start his own militia comprised of the sons of Menzoberranzan, giving the houseless a place and a family.

His charm, wit, and skills as a rogue make him a popular character, and many fans of both IPs would adore to see him added to the game. As a rogue, his perks could revolve around unlocking chests and pilfering for items, which is somewhat of an underutilized mechanic, or stealth to sneak around the enemy undetected. And of course, he would have to be given voice lines to fit his character and could have interesting and unique dialogue with Drizzt, if he were added too.

1 Drizzt Do'Urden

Drizzt Demonstrates Not All Drow Need to be Evil

Legendary Drow Drizzt fighting off hordes of enemies.

Drizzt is one of the most legendary heroes in all of Faerun, his career beginning in RA Salvatore's long-running D&D novels series. He broke free from the drow's cruel way of life, making his way up to the surface, killing as many dangerous creatures as innocents he saved. His popularity cemented his place within the D&D mythos outside the books, and he has appeared in video games and campaigns since then.

As such, it is definitely a possibility he could feature as a Survivor in Dead by Daylight, as he is the most popular and well-known hero out of the entire game.
