Behaviour Interactive has announced that the murderous doll Chucky will be the next killer in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight. Behaviour Interactive has been teasing fans about what they can expect from Dead by Daylight's next chapter, and now Chucky's debut has finally been confirmed.

As one of the most iconic horror villains of all time, Chucky has long been rumored for Dead by Daylight. The Chucky Dead by Daylight rumors started to ramp up significantly when Behaviour Interactive posted a teaser showing a missing kitchen knife, the doll's signature weapon. Now those rumors have been confirmed, as Behaviour Interactive has officially pulled the curtain back on Chucky in Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight brings back a forgotten video game character who has not been seen for 13 years to join the game's diverse roster.

Chucky will be making his Dead by Daylight debut on November 28, though public test builds will be available before then. Chucky in Dead by Daylight will be voiced by Brad Dourif, the actor who has played the character in the vast majority of his film and television appearances dating back to the original Child's Play movie. Behaviour's Mathieu Côté noted the challenges in bringing Chucky to the game, stating, "It's a character that I never thought we could bring into The Fog because of his size. The team has outdone itself to prove me wrong. Players are in for a treat - Chucky in Dead by Daylight really is the unmissable multiplayer horror gaming experience."

When is Chucky Coming to Dead by Daylight?

Behaviour teased some of Chucky's abilities in Dead by Daylight. Chucky has the Slice & Dice ability that he can use to lunge at unlucky Survivors. He is also able to summon the spirit of Charles Lee Ray, his human form, to hook Survivors and perform other actions. Chucky's Scamper ability gives him increased mobility compared to other Dead by Daylight Killers.

As usual, fans can expect plenty of Easter eggs for Chucky, including nods to famous scenes from the Child's Play movies. Perhaps most notably, Chucky will have alternate outfits that let players customize his appearance, including a special Good Gal outfit that makes Chucky look like his bride Tiffany, who will be voiced by Jennifer Tilly as she is in the movies.

It's an exciting time to be a Dead by Daylight fan. Not only do fans have the new chapter and Chucky to look forward to, but the removed Stranger Things content is back in the game, giving fans of that franchise the chance to add those iconic characters to their roster if they missed out on the opportunity the first time around.
