Behaviour Interactive's hit multiplayer horror game, Dead by Daylight, has seen its fair share of crossovers over the game's six-year lifespan and its next one may have gotten out thanks to a new leak saying it will be with Ubisoft's medieval action game, For Honor. The post provides hints as to what players can expect to see as part of this leak, even lending credence to a previous post by the Twitter user responsible. However, a For Honor crossover, in general, marks a major departure from Behaviour Interactive's overall focus on horror within the competitive 4v1 multiplayer game which has seen crossovers with franchises including Resident Evil and Evil Dead.

The leak comes from Twitter user DBDLeaks who, as their handle suggests, typically reports on potential leaks and updates for Dead by Daylight on social media. In their latest post, they said the For Honor crossover would be part of the game's next content update, Chapter 26, and would feature a new map "from an entirely new realm." There was no other information about what this map could be, but given the number of environments in For Honor, alone, provides plenty of source material to pull from.

Aside from the map tease, DBDLeaks' post contains no other specific information about the alleged crossover but does feature what could be its promotional image. The image is similar to other promotional images for Dead by Daylight's previous crossovers, which some players could argue validates the report.

DBDLeak's latest post may also provide some clarity to one of their posts from early August 2022 about what players could expect from Chapter 26's new killer. The post said the killer being introduced in Chapter 26 was named "The Knight Killer" and would be Dead by Daylight's latest licensed character, coming on the heels of Resident Evil's Albert Wesker. That said, no other information about "The Knight Killer" has been shared since and the latest post made no mention of a new killer.

While the leaks have not been verified, it wouldn't be surprising to see some veteran Dead by Daylight players caught off-guard by how much of a departure the potential crossover is from the game's horror roots. Most of its previous crossovers have been with other notable horror franchises from film and video games, ranging from Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Players will simply have to wait and see if these leaks pan out and if For Honor could work inside the horror world ruled by the Entity.

Dead by Daylight is currently available for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
