Dead By Daylight is the acclaimed asymmetrical horror game made popular by its large roster of unique Killers, providing players with a wide variety of gameplay mechanics to experiment with. With the release of the Forged In Fog DLC chapter, The Knight has joined the likes of Resident Evil’s Nemesis and Albert Wesker as another threat for Survivors to contend with in Dead By Daylight.

As a Killer requiring some tricky setup, The Knight’s add-ons can go a long way in increasing the viability of his powers against more experienced Survivors. This guide will cover The Knight’s best add-ons that maximize his potential as a Killer capable of closing off loops and hunting down Survivors with his Guardia Compagnia.

The Knight: Best Add-Ons

The Knight’s best add-ons, while not overly impressive, can still make a difference to the way he plays and can enhance his powers in small but significant ways. The following add-ons are his most powerful and can improve his killing potential in unique ways.

  • Map of the Realm – It’s no secret that The Knight’s Guards can feel sluggish and unresponsive at times, incapable of detecting Survivors who are within their radius. This add-on can assist in catching Survivors with The Knight’s power by extending the radius by 4 meters. While this doesn’t make a huge difference in patrol, the extra 4 meters can help close off strong loops more effectively, forcing Survivors to move to a more disadvantageous position.
  • Pillaged Mead – Another common add-on, this mead speeds up the Guards as they perform break actions, meaning the Knight gets his power back 25% sooner after sending his Guards to break pallets and walls and bash generators. Killers seeking to make the most out of The Knight’s power will do this often to make loops more unsafe while continuing to chase Survivors.
  • Treated Blade – One of The Knight’s Guards, the Assassin is the fastest chaser in the lineup, meaning he is more likely to quickly hit Survivors who remain close by. This add-on makes him appear twice in the summon pool, making detected Survivors more likely to be downed or injured.
  • Cold Steel Manacles – The Jailer is the weakest chaser among the Guardia Compagnia, though to make up for this he has the largest detection radius. Killers who want to keep Survivors under regular pressure can use this add-on to summon him twice at loops to ensure a chase begins.
  • Battleaxe Head – The Carnifex is the quickest at destroying breakable walls, pallets, and generators, so Killers who use this add-on to summon him twice can quickly gain their power back when using him for this purpose. Moreover, he is the longest chaser of the band, allowing The Knight to keep constant pressure on Survivors in chase.
  • Iridescent Company Banner – For Killers who prefer to make the most of the Endgame Collapse once all generators are completed, the Iridescent Company Banner can prevent Survivors from escaping when Hunted by a Guard. This can make Injured or Exposed Survivors at open gates incredibly vulnerable to attack, especially when paired with Endgame perks like The Nightmare’s Blood Warden.

Dead By Daylight is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
