Anime crossovers have been a major trend for many of gaming's biggest online titles with plenty adding a plethora of anime-themed content. Fortnite has previously featured collaborations with franchises like Naruto and even EA's Apex Legends joined in with its recent "Gaiden Event." Coupled with the popularity of anime as a medium and the presence of anime-themed games, anime and gaming have often gone hand-in-hand with Dead by Daylight serving as the newest example.

Dead by Daylight has been no stranger to crossovers with a variety of franchises, though Behaviour Interactive typically sticks to horror-related media. The popular asymmetrical multiplayer game has introduced a plethora of different collaborations with movies like The Ring and Saw, as well as other popular horror games like Resident Evil. Behaviour Interactive has also previously polled fans on franchises to feature in future crossovers, with Scooby Doo and Death Note among the most popular submissions. Now, Dead by Daylight's newest crossover will see Attack on Titan introduced into the game.

A new trailer released on Dead by Daylight's official YouTube channel reveals the "Attack on Titan Collection" with a variety of skins based on the popular anime. Players can pick up 10 different skins with eight skins for survivors based on Attack on Titan's main cast with Eren, Misaka, and others appearing as well as Titan killer skins for The Oni and The Spirit. Players will also be able to acquire a variety of different Attack on Titan-themed charms as a bonus for buying the collaboration outfits.

Behaviour Interactive's official website gives some insight into the skins' development with Product Manager Rose Li explaining how the survivors matched with their Attack on Titan character. According to Li, each skin was developed based on the "emotions and values" of the survivors tying them in with the characters their outfit is based on, using Kate Denson and Historia as the main example. The Titan killer skins also feature several references to major plot developments within Attack on Titan's story.

Dead by Daylight's newest collaboration with Attack on Titan comes as the game has plenty in store for fans throughout the seventh year of the game's life. Behaviour Interactive revealed Year 7's roadmap last month with a second Resident Evil chapter, new killers and survivors, and more set to be added throughout the year. Dead by Daylight also revealed quality of life changes to come with a rework of the game's progression and prestige systems and a main menu visual update planned throughout the year.

Dead by Daylight is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
