Dead by Daylight is a game known to release consistent content updates for its fans. Since the game first launched back in 2016, it has grown hugely in popularity, bringing the chance for Dead by Daylight to have crossover chapters based around horror IPs. From Stranger Things to Scream, new survivors and killers have been brought into the game from other media and franchises. Later this year, Dead by Daylight will receive a new Resident Evil chapter, further expanding the game's roster of horror crossovers.

Not all crossovers come from a new chapter in Dead by Daylight, and sometimes the game will bring another IP onboard through cosmetics. This is the case for Dead by Daylight's crossover with popular anime Attack on Titan. This crossover won't include any new killers or survivors, but Zarina, Dwight, and the Oni will be given new skins to make them look like they traveled straight from Paradis Island.

These skins have been labeled more as a cosplay than a reskin of the characters, as Zarina, Dwight, and the Oni may be wearing Attack on Titan costumes, but they can't grow to be over 50 feet tall, for instance. Dwight's costume most resembles Eren's attire from the earlier Attack on Titan seasons, while Zarina is in the attire of commander Hange. The Oni perhaps has the most convincing cosplay of all, as it looks to be a shrunken version of the armored titan.

Attack on Titan is not directly a horror series, but in its first seasons especially it has some terrifying elements caused by the destructive power and unstoppable nature of the titans. In the Final Season Part 2 of Attack on Titan, the horror element is lessened slightly as the mysteries of the titans have mostly been explored. However, many Dead by Daylight fans have been accepting of this crossover, with some even hoping that a future chapter could focus on the anime. Admittedly, it may be a challenge to have a giant killer like a titan work in the confines of Dead by Daylight.

This news follows the recent and strange announcement that Dead by Daylight will be getting its own dating simulator called Dead by Daylight: Hooked on You, which sees the player able to flirt with and date four of the game's killers. The Huntress, the Spirit, the Trapper, and the Wraith are all potential love interests and are given a new look for the dating simulator.

Dead by Daylight is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
