Being the main inspiration for Barry Allen becoming a Hero, Garrick's impact on the DC universe is monumental. Over the years, he has appeared in the comics and other media, such as the Young Justice cartoon and The Flash television show.

4 Doctor Fate

Doctor Fate is not just one of the strongest members of the JSA but also one of the strongest heroes inside the DC Universe. The power of magic that Doctor Fate uses comes from his helmet, known as the Helm of Nabu. The Helm of Nabu is an ancient artifact possessed by a powerful spirit that, when bonded to a human host, allows the wearer to become Doctor Fate.

Kent Nelson was the Doctor Fate of the JSA; Nelson discovered the helmet while on an archeological dig and became the host much later. The helm of Nabu is a double-edged sword; while it provides great power over the mystic arts, the user is in less control than Nabu. Many DC heroes have called Nabu a parasite that latches on and makes the wearers of the helmet victims.

Kal-L’s personality is more direct and somewhat coarse, giving a self-righteous patronizing impression to those around him. As a JSA member, he often tried to instill his way of thinking on the team, which led to him bumping heads with the likes of Black Adam and Magog on numerous occasions.
