The DCEU is slowly coming out with more movies, but it’s up in the air for how long. Even the biggest heroes in DC like Batman and Superman are struggling to keep their place. Only a few heroes like Wonder Woman and Shazam have found success in the DCEU.

Some of these heroes have found success outside of the DCEU, but most fans would love to see them appear on the big screen. However, if the big heroes are struggling to find their footing, it lowers the chances of others ever making their DCEU debut.

10 Robin

Robin Dick Grayson Jason Todd Red Hood Tim Drake Red Robin Stephanie Brown Damian Wayne

Since the DCEU started, most fans have been wondering when Robin will appear or if any of them will ever appear. There was a Robin suit that appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it was unknown who it belonged to. Sadly, it was confirmed it belonged to Dick Grayson and revealed that he’s dead, cutting off all hope of seeing him.

Without him, it means other Robins after him such as Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Damian Wayne probably won’t ever appear. The closest thing fans will get to seeing most of them in live-action will be on the Titans show, which isn’t part of the DCEU.

9 Red Tornado

Red Tornado DC hero

He's a classic DC hero that’s been around for a long time. Red Tornado is a sentient android that has fought alongside the Justice League and its predecessor, the Justice Society of America. He also has quite a unique skill set, having super strength, and is aerokinetic.

Even though he’s been part of DC for a long time, he isn’t as popular as other heroes like Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, or Batman. This is probably working against him and hindering his chances of ever appearing in the DCEU.

8 Booster Gold

Booster Gold DC hero

A hero from the future with a huge ego. Booster Gold doesn’t have any superpowers on his own, but uses artifacts he stole from a museum in the future. Without these artifacts, he’s just a man that was an excellent athlete and uses it to his advantage. He usually gets on other heroes’ nerves with his cockiness and showboating, but they know he means well.

Though he does go through his own trials and experiences tragedies, Booster Gold just doesn’t seem like he would fit in right with the DCEU heroes right now. His story just doesn’t have the same impact or iconic status as others like Superman and Batman.

7 Hawkgirl

Hawkgirl DC hero

The wife of Hawkman, another hero. Hawkgirl didn’t sit on the sidelines while her husband did all the fighting. She fights alongside him and the Justice League, proving herself to be a capable warrior. Hawkgirl was one of the founding members of the Justice League in the Justice League animated series. Something that was very different from any of her comic counterparts, but welcomed, especially her relationship with Green Lantern/John Stewart.

One thing that could be working against her from ever appearing in the DCEU is that her origin story is a bit murky and confusing even for vet fans of DC.

6 Vixen

Vixen DC hero

She doesn’t have the biggest role in the DC universe, but Vixen has been able to make a name for herself. With the power of various animals, she’s a force to be reckoned with. She’s appeared in the Arrowverse and in the Justice League: Unlimited animated series.

Vixen is a popular character, but she hasn’t been mentioned or referenced in any of the movies. Her appearance in the DCEU doesn’t look like it’ll happen anytime soon.

5 Swamp Thing

Swamp Thing DC hero

Swamp Thing looks more like a horror movie monster than a hero, but he has quite the history on both the big screen and television. He had two movies released back in the 80s, a live-action series back in the 90s, and has appeared in both animated series and films in the DC universe. Unfortunately, his 2019 live-action show was cut short and has lowered his chances of ever appearing to zero.

4 Green Arrow

Green Arrow DC hero Injustice 2

Thanks to the success of Arrow, Green Arrow doesn’t seem like he’ll be seen in a DCEU movie anytime soon. With that series still fresh on the minds of fans, adding him in the DCEU doesn’t seem necessary.

Black Canary will be having her own solo movie, which he could appear in, but it still doesn’t feel like he’s needed right now. Plus, adding him in would take away some of the spotlight from her instead of letting her shine on her own.

3 Miss Martian

Miss Martian DC hero Young Justice

Miss Martian Team Titans and fought alongside them and other heroes. Unlike Martian Manhunter, she is a White Martian(enemies of the Green ones) and disguises herself as a Green Martian. Her powers are similar to Martian Manhunter’s and she has the same weaknesses as him.

It seems like the closest fans will get to seeing her on a screen is her appearance in Supergirl. Martian Manhunter has yet to make an official appearance in the DCEU so this lowers her chances.

2 Aqualad

Aqualad Garth Kaldur'ahm DC hero Young Justice

The name that two superheroes share. The first one is Garth, an outcast of Atlantis that worked as Aquaman's sidekick. He was one of the founding members of the Teen Titans. While he's appeared consistently, Garth isn't as big as other Titans like Robin and Speedy. Adding him won't really add much to the DCEU.

The second Aqualad is Kaldur'ahm. He appeared in the Young Justice animated series and became pretty popular among viewers. It was revealed that he is polysexual, giving him prominence as an LGBTQ+ hero. Though it would be nice to see him on the big screen, it just doesn't seem like the right time for him to appear.

1 Terry McGinnis/Batman Beyond

Terry McGinnis Batman Beyond DC hero

Unlike most heroes, Terry didn’t start off having his own comics but started off with an animated series. Batman Beyond was the sequel series to the Batman animated show. It showed a futuristic world where Batman is retired and no one is there to stop crime. Terry and Bruce Wayne’s cross paths by chance. After Terry’s father is murdered, Bruce takes him under his wing. Though Terry lacks the finesse Bruce had and has the typical teen attitude, he becomes a worthy successor of the Batman title.

The world Terry lives in would be an aesthetically pleasing sight to see with its cyberpunk and sci-fi elements. It’s different from what most Batman fans see. The chances of ever seeing Terry appear in the DCEU are nonexistent. With The Batman coming out in 2022 and any of the Robins having yet to appear, Terry showing up is just a fantasy at this point.
