6 Mary, Queen of Blood

Mary is a character from I.Vampire, originating from the original silver age comic book, House of Mystery. Mary served as the love interest of Andrew Bennet; when Bennett’s fate led him to turn into a vampire, she joined him in the curse, and the two lovers traveled together for almost a century.

Unfortunately, Mary’s ideals and opinions began to turn vile as she gained a hatred for humankind. She created a global vampire terrorist organization called the Blood Red Moon in an attempt to wipe out humanity and replace them as the dominant species. She and Andrew are at constant odds with each other, as she often reappears to carry out her goal.

5 Caine

Cain is an all-powerful vampire also belonging to the series I.Vampire by Joshua Hale Folkov and Andrea Sorrentino, which is based on the original series released in 1981 under the House of Mystery title. In the new series, Caine is the son of the first man, cursed with vampirism for killing his brother.

He is also the source of all vampires and seeks to spread the plague across the world to amass a vampire army strong enough to face the demon knights. Caine first appeared in I.Vampire after Andrew Bennett was killed. The death triggered his awakening, but he has seemingly been turned human.

The King of Vampires is a character in the Hellblazer comics that was an advisory of John Constantine. In the series, the king of vampires is millions of years old, first arriving on earth in Africa in the early days of man.

Through his existence, the King of Vampires fed on man and carved a bloody path through history, creating a court of the most powerful vampires and controlling certain world events from the shadows. More times than once, he sought to induct John Constantine into his court, and every time, Constantine refused, which placed the pair at odds with each other on more than one occasion.

Starbreaker is perhaps one of the most dangerous vampires in the DC Universe, as the only substance that can satiate him is the energy of living planets. Starbreaker first appeared in a mini-series of his own where he faced off against the entire Justice League of America. It took a combined effort of all the world's most powerful heroes to take him down and save the earth.

Starbreakers' goal is to absorb and feed off of a maximum amount of energy and release it all at once, which could cause a catastrophic end to the universe in an instant. He is rumored to be the source of vampirism and thought to be the same age as the Monitors, placing his birth before the creation of the multiverse.

Dax Novu first appeared in the Final Crisis run in DC Comics. He is the product and creation of the first Monitor, but was corrupted early on in his life, which led him to adopt his vampiric appearance and powers. Dax Novu seeks to plunge the known DC universe into utter darkness, a plane of existence called the Overvoid that Dax rules by himself

Dax Novu feeds on the Bleed, an interdimensional space between realities that is composed of nothing but cosmic force. In his most recent attempt, he was faced by some of the strongest of DC Heroes, having defeated the Spectre and Radiant, the embodiment of Mercy and Vengeance in the DC universe. It took the current Monitor, his son, and all the supermen from the multiverse to send him back to the void.

No other than the master of darkness himself, Dracula is undoubtedly the most powerful evil vampire in all of DC Comics. Dracula has appeared in several comic storylines throughout multiple comic book universes, especially DC Comics. Dracula has risen from his slumber on numerous occasions to take over the world, destroy it completely, or enslave the human race and become their dark lord.

Over the years, he has faced off with Superman, Batman, and the entire Justice League on several instances where the best the heroes can manage is to put him back to sleep and prepare for his inevitable return. Dracula, among all vampires, is a true immortal, unable to die even when faced with sunlight or a stake through the heart.
