Over the years, DC Comics has evolved the team with new members and even morphed into the Young Justice superhero team through various continuities. The teenage group of superheroes has featured some iconic, and less-than-iconic, members over the years who have risen to fight crime with each other.

1 Connor Kent - Superboy

Kryptonian Powers and Telekinesis

  • First Joined Team in 2003

A clone of Superman created after the Man of Steel was killed by Doomsday, Kon-El took up the mantle of Superboy. He took on the name Connor Kent, received the returned Superman's blessing to be a hero, and joined the Teen Titans at Superman's request.

Superboy had a bit of a learning curve compared to the other heroes who joined the team due to his superior strength. Still, he can develop human relationships and learn to control his powers. Superboy eventually ends up moving on to the Young Justice team.

2 Roy Harper - Red Arrow, Arsenal and Speedy

Overcame Addiction to be a Hero

  • First Joined Team in 1966

As the sidekick to the Green Arrow, Roy Harper has used a variety of names while working with other teenage superheroes. While he's used the names Red Arrow and Speedy, he's best known as Arsenal. He originally didn't want to join a team of teenage superheroes but relented when he decided the Justice League would never let them be more than just sidekicks.

He joined the Teen Titans about two years into their run when he was originally going by the name Speedy. He battled heroin addiction and overcame it to be one of the best teenage heroes. He stayed with the original team until they disbanded. Then, following a split from Green Arrow, he became a government agent who still worked tangentially with the team.

3 Garth - Aqualad

Immensely Valuable to Stop Villains Underwater

Aqualad
  • First Joined Team in 1964

While both versions of Aqualad joined the Teen Titans, Garth served as one of the founding members of Teen Titans along with Dick Grayson's version of Robin and Wally West's version of Kid Flash. Aquaman's former sidekick had the same abilities as Arthur Curry, he just used them on a smaller level.

Garth worked with the Teen Titans for years and then joined the adult version of the Titans as Tempest in the DC Rebirth continuity. After he outgrew the team, the second version of Aqualad, Jackson Hyde, took his place on the team.

4 Tim Drake - Red Robin

Best Pure Detective to Serve as Robin

Tim Drake as Red Robin
  • First Joined Team in 2003

There have been five Robins in DC Comics continuity and almost all of them have joined the Teen Titans in some capacity. The third Robin, Tim Drake, joined under the name Red Robin. Drake was known as the smartest and best detective of those who took on the Robin mantle, and the only one who did not join Batman following a tragedy.

Tim Drake wanted to be a detective. He would eventually leave the Teen Titans to become the Robin who founded Young Justice. When the continuity was rebooted in the New 52, Drake served as a founder of that version of the Teen Titans, as well as its leader.

5 Donna Troy - Wonder Girl

Titan from the Beginning

Donna Troy
  • First Joined Team in 1964

Donna Troy is often forgotten as one of the founders of the original Teen Titans. She was a duplicate of Wonder Woman cursed to live many tragic lives. Donna took on the mantle of Wonder Girls, helped found the team, and even named the Teen Titans.

Donna Troy was hugely important to the development of the entire team and became one of the many members to join the adult version of the Titans when she aged out of the group. She was replaced by the second version of Wonder Girl, Cassie Sandsmark, who would go on to become the team's leader.

6 Jaime Reyes - Blue Beetle

Brought Relevance to a Character Believed to be Second Tier

  • First Joined Team in 2008

While Ted Kord's version of the Blue Beetle was a full-fledged member of the Justice League, a younger version eventually took over. Following Kord's death, the Scarab sought out a teenager named Jaime Reyes. The younger version of the hero was able to breathe new life into the character as the younger Beetle joined the Teen Titans.

After joining the team, Jaime Reyes became one of the most integral members of the team over the next fifteen years. This allowed the character to grow in popularity. This version of Blue Beetle became important enough that he was heavily featured in the Teen Titans film for the DC movie universe.

7 Bart Allen - Kid Flash and Impulse

Fastest Teen in Multiple Points in Time

  • First Joined Team in 1994

Kid Flash has been integral from the very beginning of the Teen Titans. Wally West served as a founding member until taking up the Flash mantle following the death of Barry Allen. And Wallace West served as the final Kid Flash to join the team in the New 52.

However, Bart Allen may be the younger version of Flash most associated with the Teen Titans. He originally joined as Impulse, taking over from Wally West. However, he would also use the Kid Flash moniker. Bart Allen was also a founding member of Young Justice before returning to the Teen Titans in the New 52 before handing the mantle to Wallace West.

8 Victor Stone - Cyborg

First Black Man to Lead Superhero Team

Victor Stone is turned into the appropriately named Cyborg and becomes a major member of several superhero teams in the DC Comics continuity. Joining as a member of the second iteration of the Teen Titans, he is a vital member of every iteration afterward. He has a close relationship with Beast Boy that brings a lot of humor to the team.

Batman's son, Damian Wayne, joined the Teen Titans at the request of a former Robin and former leader of the superhero group, Dick Grayson. Batman's former ward realized that Batman's son couldn't be left alone and needed to develop new friendships. Damian stayed with the team until Tim Drake returned.

Damian Wayne's biggest moment came when he wielded a kryptonite blade against an army of evil Superboy-Prime clones. Damian killed several of the clones, saving the world. Damian doesn't always join the team, as it is dependent on the continuity. However, in the DC Rebirth continuity, he steps up to be the leader of the Teen Titans.

10 Dick Grayson - Robin and Nightwing

Founded Team and Serves as the Most Effective Leader

Dick-Grayson-Robin-Nightwing
  • First Joined Team in 1964

Dick Grayson has been an integral part of almost every iteration of the Teen Titans. While working as Robin, he was one of the founding members of the original team. When he started, he was still just Batman's prototypical sidekick who became the face of the teenage superhero group.

After giving up the mantle of Robin, Dick Grayson helped found the New Teen Titans where he finally became a lead superhero as Nightwing. He is easily the most popular, most recognizable, and most successful member of the team.
