New information has recently surfaced regarding the difficulty of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's upcoming DLC boss fight with Beerus the destroyer. If this new information is true, then it seems that the Beerus boss fight will be an incredibly tough one that will challenge players even at maximum level.

The information comes once again from credible Dragon Ball Reporter, Dragon Ball Hype, who has reported accurate Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot information numerous times before. Because of this, the information is more than likely true, and it means great things could be coming in the DLC this Spring.

The tweet from Dragon Ball Hype claims that the game's developers fought against Beerus' level 250 form ten times, and of those battles they were only able to come out victorious once. Presumably, they were at level 250 as well, so this fight must really live up to Beerus' reputation as a God of Destruction.

A truly difficult final battle would be a breath of fresh air for many Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans, as the game has something of a backward difficulty curve, starting off incredibly challenging with the Raditz boss fight but swiftly getting much easier as more and more powerful transformations are unlocked. Arguably, the two most difficult fights in the game are Bonyu's training missions at level 100 and the secret boss fight with Mira, but since neither of these fights scale beyond level 100, there is a lack of difficult content after hitting the maximum level of 250. Villainous enemies can go higher level, but are mostly punching bags with a lot of HP and don't provide much threat.

Though both Bonyu and Mira are incredibly difficult when below their levels, once the player hits level 100 as well the fight tends to get a lot easier. If the same thing held true for the Beerus fight, then even at level 250 he would be manageable for the most part. With any luck, much of his difficulty comes from how hard it is to dodge and predict his unique techniques rather than just insanely high damage output and HP, but only time will tell for certain.

At the very least, this justifies all the time players spent grinding to level 250, and gives those players that haven't yet a reason to do so. If players want to stand any chance of beating Beerus at his highest level and getting whatever unique rewards he may offer, they will certainly need their best characters to be level 250 as well.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
