In addition to two hours of main story content, the Goku's Next Journey DLC provides Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players with ten additional substories to sink their teeth into. Much like the ones found in the base version of the game and some of the other DLC episodes, these substories are a great way to level up characters while also earning some useful rewards. They're all pretty short too, so players won't need to set aside too much time to complete them.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot - All Cutscenes and Conversations in Goku's Next Journey

There's around one hour of cutscenes and conversations in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's Goku's Next Journey DLC; all of which can be found right here.

Two of the substories in Goku's Next Journey can only be tackled at certain points during the main story, with the other eight becoming available upon its completion. Thankfully, those who miss the first two substories can replay them by making use of the Story Replay mode, which can be accessed by interacting with the time machine near the Capsule Corp building in West City. Some substories only unlock once others have been completed, so Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players may want to tackle them in the order below.

Phone Trouble at Kame House Substory Walkthrough

Phone Trouble at Kame House is available during the Five-Year Reunion section of Episode 1 and can be triggered by speaking with Master Roshi over at Kame House after telling him about the World Tournament. He'll mention that his phone hasn't been working lately and then send Goku off to investigate the source of some nearby radio interference. Once they're able to, players should fly north to the quest marker to find a Frieza Force Researcher who sends out some Combat Machines. After defeating them, Goku will destroy the nearby satellite dish, allowing players to return to Master Roshi and turn in the quest.

Just as it's starting to seem as though they'll never find it, the pair overhear two suspicious men talking about a necklace they found. When they regain control, players will simply need to run forward to the quest marker and then defeat a bunch of robots. Once the mechanical menaces have been taken care of, Krillin will return with the necklace and the substory will come to an end. Buu and the Chocolate Incident Substory Walkthrough

Players will be able to start Buu and the Chocolate Incident by speaking with Mr. Satan at his home in Satan City after completing the main story. They'll be tasked with obtaining three pieces of Super Cacao, which can be found growing in the Blake Bog area. Unfortunately, the exact Super Cacao location is far from clear, with the quest marker doing very little to guide players to their intended destination. Rather than head west into the bog itself as the marker suggests, players should instead look for a small green circle just north of their starting location. It's to the south of a green Training Grounds icon and west of a stone tower. Once in this area, players can use Goku's ki sense ability by holding either L1 (PlayStation) or LB (Xbox), which will make finding the Super Cacao a lot easier. Upon picking up all three pieces, players will run into Melone and will need to beat up some of his goons, after which, they can return to Mr. Satan and defeat Mr. Buu to finally turn in the quest.
