Even when compared to some of the other downloadable content for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the 23rd World Tournament DLC's main story is incredibly short. Thankfully, the game makes up for this somewhat with its Sub Stories, with the six side quests helping to provide players with an additional hour or so of content to sink their teeth into once the main tournament has come to an end.

None of the 23rd World Tournament Sub Stories are all that difficult, though players may still want to keep an eye on the recommended level when deciding which order to tackle them in. As five of the six Sub Stories only become available after completing the main story though, most players will likely find that they're at a high enough level to deal with everything that's thrown at them right away.

How to Complete TSatisfy the Fighters' Bellies in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

"Satisfy the Fighters' Bellies" becomes available during Episode 1 of the main story during the "Off to the World Tournament" section. Players can trigger it by speaking with Master Roshi, who can be found hanging around in the area near the entrance to the tournament grounds. He'll suggest going out for a meal, but upon arriving at the restaurant, players will find that they're unable to eat right now due to a missing food delivery.

At this point, Goku will be tasked with checking in on the farmer who was supposed to deliver the food, whose farm is to the north of the restaurant. It appears that he's taken a slight turn for the worse. He'll be fine, but he needs Goku to deliver the food in his stead. Thankfully, Papaya Island Daikon, Papaya Island Carrot, and Papaya Island Taro can all be found in the field right next to the farmer, so players can grab what they need and then return to the restaurant to turn in the quest and claim their rewards.

How to Complete The Champ's Victory Party! in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

"The Champ's Victory Party!" is the first of five post-game Sub Stories in the 23rd World Tournament DLC. To trigger it, players will simply need to speak with Bulma, who can be found standing outside Capsule Corp in West City. She wants to throw a party to celebrate Goku's tournament win and his marriage to Chi Chi, which is where players will be taken if they decide to click "Yes".

During the party, players will have a chance to speak to some of Goku's friends. When they're ready to proceed, they'll need to talk to Chi Chi and then select the "I've had enough talk for one day" option. After that, they'll have to beat a group of thugs and then fly north toward the blue quest marker, where Pilaf's gang and a battle with some robots await them. Defeating these mechanical monstrocities will complete the side quest and also unlock the next one.

How to Complete The Unseen Threat in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

"The Unseen Threat" becomes available after players have completed "The Champ's Victory Party!" and can be triggered by speaking with Bulma inside her lab at Capsule Corp. She'll ask Goku to track down a few Robot Parts for her so that she hopefully put a stop to the Red Ribbon Army robots that continue to terrorize West City.

After defeating the three robot groups around the outskirts of West City (these are all marked with blue quest markers), players can return to Bulma, who'll then mention Mother Robo. They should then make their way northwest to the next quest marker and take the aforementioned robot down. Just as it looks as though everything has gone to plan, a bunch more robots will show up. Defeating these ones, however, will finally conclude the quest.

How to Complete Dragon Balls, Resurrected in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players will be able to trigger "Dragon Balls, Resurrected" by speaking with Bulma outside Capsule Corp in West City at any point after completing "The Unseen Threat". She'll explain that one of the Dragon Balls appears to have gone missing and is no longer showing up on the Dragon Radar. Naturally, it's then up to Goku to get to the bottom of what's going on.

After accepting the Sub Story, players will need to track down six of the seven Dragon Balls, which can be found scattered around in a few different areas. Once they've done so, they'll be directed to a quest marker to the west of West City, where they'll be met by a few of Pilaf's goons. To complete "Dragon Balls, Resurrected", players will simply need to defeat the thugs and a bunch of robots and then return the seven Dragon Balls to Bulma at Capsule Corp.

How to Complete A Little Alone Time? in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

"A Little Alone Time?" becomes available once players have completed "Dragon Balls, Resurrected" and can be triggered by speaking with Chi-Chi at Goku's house. To complete the Sub Story, players will simply need to gather one piece of Lean Dino Meat, three Bamboo Shoots, and three Eggs; all of which can be found pretty easily in the surrounding areas.

Eggs can be found in the Capsule Corp courtyard in West City, while Bamboo Shoots grow near the image of a shack on the map northeast of Goku's house. As for Lean Dino Meat, players should head to the Dinosaur Habitat northwest of Goku's house and hit a dinosaur with Ki Blasts until it goes down. Alternatively, they can buy some from the food vendor in West City for 80 Zeni. Once they have everything, players should return to Chi Chi to turn in the quest.

How to Complete Back to the World Tournament! in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Although players can tackle the "Back to the World Tournament!" Sub Story at any point after the main story has ended, it's arguably best to leave it until last due to the high level requirement. That said, most players should still be able to complete it from about Level 40 onward, so whenever they're ready to get started, they should make their way to the World Tournament Arena area and then speak with the tournament announcer.

dbz-kakarot-23rd-world-tournament-back-to-the-world-tournament-tao-fight

After triggering the Sub Story, players will need to follow the quest marker east to the craftsman's place and speak with the tournament staff there. They'll then need to return to the tournament announcer, at which point, they'll be tasked with heading out west to meet the kidnappers. Turns out, the men responsible are none other than Master Shen and Mercenary Tao. Players will need to defeat the latter and a few robots to complete "Back to the World Tournament!". This can be pretty tough, but is made a whole lot easier by dealing with the two robots before targeting Tao.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
