Dave the Diver is a funny indie game that is a combination of diving and restaurant management. In order to succeed at running a great business and making customers happy, Dave will need to collect tons of fish and seasonings to make a variety of dishes.
A great tip for Dave the Diver players to speed up getting new fish for the menu is to get and use the fish farm; this allows players to breed fish, raise them from eggs, and collect them without wasting a moment swimming. This location is not available in the beginning of the game, however, and players will need to get a few story quests done first to unlock it.
How to Get the Fish Farm in Dave the Diver
The indie game Dave the Diver is all about pleasing not only customers, but also getting some critics on Dave's side as well. Just about every time a critic is pleased, it will unlock a new feature of the game that makes playing a little easier. First, players have to serve shark to Yoshie to unlock hiring employees, Vincent to unlock new recipes, and also a man named Otto with a curry fish dish. This is the man the unlocks not only night fishing, but also the fish farm for players. Otto will only appear after players have completed Duff's Pink Delivery quest chain, defeated the giant squid, and defeated John Watson the first time.
How to Make Moray Eel Curry
In order to make the Moray Eel Curry to unlock the fish farm, players will need to first wait for Otto to come by. While waiting for him, players can collect some Turmeric, which is a seasoning that is also needed to make this dish. Employees not working the floor can be sent on a mission to collect spices, so send someone off for some of it as soon as possible. This seasoning can also be sold for coins in Dave the Diver.
Next, Otto will unlock night diving. This is necessary for the creation of Moray Eel Curry, because Moray Eels only come out of their little hiding holes at night. Players can find these long, slippery fish close to the surface. They take several hits to kill and deal quite a bit of damage, so players will want to make sure they have plenty of firepower and oxygen. After getting some eel, head back to the video game restaurant and make sure the Moray Eel Curry is on the menu for that night. Serve this dish to Otto, then he will spend the whole night building a Fish Farm for Dave.
