Players will spend most of their time in Dave The Diver scouring the sea for nutritious fish that they can use to whip up mouthwatering meals. This does mean they will need employees to keep Dave's sushi restaurant running while he's away. Employees will help Dave serve dishes when there too many customers for him to handle alone, and can help Bancho with the cooking and wasabi refills. This saves time for the player to explore more of what this lovable retro RPG has to offer.

Once players get the hang of the advertisement system, they can seek out staff to help them run the restaurant. Different ranks determine an employee's skill set and abilities. Platinum and gold are the highest tiers, and while finding workers of this caliber is difficult, it can be worth it due to the benefits they provide. With that said though, there are a handful of employees in the lower tiers who can still contribute to helping the restaurant run smoothly. These employees have certain skills that are surprisingly high, or have skills that can give them a head start.

7 Charlie

Charlie Statistics In Dave The Diver

Charlie is classed as a Silver-tier employee, so he's not difficult to acquire so long as players don't mind spending a little more on their ads. Despite this, he actually has a staggeringly high Cooking rating, which can help keep many customers satisfied while looking for other employees in the meantime.

Charlie's Cooking+ skill raises his cooking rating permanently to the point where it will stretch just over 1500 at level 20, which is only a few hundred lower than the highest Cooking rating in the entire game. The only issue is that his only other worthwhile skill is Procure. While useful, he's not exactly versatile in the long run.

6 Mitchell

Mitchell Statistics In Dave The Diver

The coffee-obsessed barista Mitchell possesses the second-highest Serving rating in the game, yet he's only a Bronze-tier employee. This makes it easy to bring him on board without having to break the bank. His Drink Serving skill isn't anything fancy, so he won't be brewing the best drinks possible, but it still massively helps with customer satisfaction.

Ideally, Mitchell should always be serving customers to make the most out of his Serving+ skill. But he also has a decently high Appeal, so he can pick up frequent tips while helping in the restaurant during busy hours.

5 Billy

Employee Billy Statistics

Thanks to his Cleaning Master skill (which is granted after his training), along with a level 20 Serving rating of 616, Billy can clean seats in barely any time before jumping back into the Dining Area. And that's where he really excels at making customers feel welcome and cozy when delivering their food.

Tip Master means that Billy can also become a reliable source of income. On top of that, he also has one of the most unique appearances in the game, which goes a long way considering players will be seeing and chatting to their employees each time they entre the restaurant. It's always worth keeping an eye out for people who seem fun to talk to, and that certainly includes Billy.

4 Jandi

Jandi Staistics In Dave The Diver

Jandi isn't too impressive when he first joins Dave's team. But once he's trained up and his unique abilities are unlocked, he becomes one of the most flexible employees in the game, so long as the player is willing to stick with him for that long.

Not only does he have decent Serving and Procure ratings, but he also has the Wasabi Refill skill. This skill unlocks once he hits level 20, and is especially useful in the early hours of the game when it's easy to forget about the wasabi machine entirely. He also comes with the Tip Master skill, meaning he is much more likely to acquire tips. This is extremely useful for adding more decor to the restaurant to make it as appealing as possible to customers.

3 Tohoku

Tohoku Statistics In Dave The Diver

Tohoku's character is entirely dedicated to cooking up the most delicious seafood meals imaginable. His Cooking rating reaches just under 1300 at level 20, and both of his special skills permanently increase his cooking expertis. He is even capable of running the kitchen on his own if players find him early and train him up.

Tohoku pairs incredibly well with employees with high serving ratings such as El Nino and Mitchell. While he may not have any flashy unique skills, and is only moderately impressive in his other stats, he still proudly stands as one of the best chefs in the game. He is capable of cooking up even the most complex dishes.

2 El Nino

El Nino Statistics In Dave The Diver

The mysterious masked El Nino is a tricky employee to get a hold of, considering he is in the Diamond tier. But he can prove to be a vital lifeline once the restaurant starts becoming busier later in the game, and when finding the time to gather the ingredients in the deep blue sea starts becoming trickier.

El Nino has the highest Serving rating in the game, sitting at 1033 once he reaches level 20. This makes him incredibly reliable and an essential member of the Dining Area. He also has an excellent Procure, rating which allows him to pick up essential ingredients that Bancho and the other cooks can use. He even has the Drink Serving Master and Cleaning Master special skills, all of which make him by far the best employee when it comes to serving customers.

1 Yone

Yone Stats In Dave The Diver

As soon as Yone reaches level 20, her Cooking skill will have reached a staggering 1752, making her the best employee when it comes to preparing dishes in a quick, efficient, and professional manner. This is all thanks to her Cooking++ skill, which permanently increases her cooking rating by a great margin. She also has the ability to increase the number of plates registered on the menu, which is always a welcome bonus.

While players should keep Yone in the kitchen as much as possible, she's no slouch in the Procure department either. This makes her extremely versatile and a must-have employee. Players can try to acquire her by sending out as many of the $400 internet advertisements as they can.
