6 Kith and Kin (Side Quest)

Fetch the keepsakes of the dead for a local elder

Kith and Kin Side Quest

Location

The Onyx Watchtower

Region

Dry Steppes

Reward

Gold(depending on character level) Salvage Cache Renown, +20 Dry Steppes Renown

As Diablo 4 is a game saturated in grief, misery, and pining for faith, the Kith and Kin side quest presents as a quest for remembrance. Throughout the series, many lost villagers and townspeople are reduced to bones and ash; Kith and Kin centers on an old woman who seeks the keepsakes of those lost to an ancient curse, hoping to aid in their transition into a proper afterlife. At the request of local elder Chabi, players must first collect at least 15 personal effects from the skeletons near and throughout the Onyx Watchtower stronghold.

Players must battle the living dead in order to obtain these personal effects, returning to Chabi once defeated. It's here that gamers unlock gold, experience, and a +20 boost in Steppes Renown. This quest ranks as a tame yet grim venture that places fans into a dreary fight against people who have become anguished and insufferable souls of the undead. For any survivor, this ratchet river region is not a place of solace for the downtrodden.

5 The Bear of Blackweald (Side Quest)

Kill Stana and the Blackweald recruits

The Bear of Blackweald Side Quest

Location

The Scar

Region

Scosglen

Reward

In solitude there can only be two truths: growth and madness. The Bear of Blackweald quest reveals the Blackweald Company that resides in The Scar. This troupe of ungodly renegades understands the notion of a doomed fate all too well. In this quest, gamers must defeat the rogue Stana as she swiftly evades attacks, armed with a powerful crossbow, and must additionally tackle Blackweald recruits as well. Fans will quickly notice that Stana, a survivor of the burning of Brione, captivates with her callous and vicious nature, especially during attacks where she can detonate various bombs.

4 Sigil Crafting (Priority Quest)

Learn the dark history of sigil crafting

Sigil Casting Priority Quest

Location

Fractured Peaks, Kyovashad

Reward

Unlock Nightmare Sigil Crafting

After reaching at minimum one Nightmare Dungeon and entering World Tier 3, players can access this priority quest that starts in Kyovashad. The Sigil Crafting quest requires Sigil Powder, typically found with Occultists. This powder is acquired through the completion of dungeons or from turning over bounties from the Tree of Whispers. Fans who are history buffs will enjoy the history and lore involved in the dark art of sigil crafting. Understanding chaos, entropy, and personalized sacrifices with blood and legacy all come into play during this mission.

As players adventure off to unlock the Nightmare Sigils, this quest ranks as an experience of pure dark knowledge that may or may not come with a price. As holding sacred knowledge can oftentimes put a target on a character's back in the game, sigil crafting ranks on this list as an occult art that embodies the fear of knowledge. Knowledge is power and in Diablo 4, unknown enlightenment can either mean the damnation of existence or the return of a raging demon/entity.

3 Spirits of the Lost Grove (Priority Quest)

Claim the Skull of the Stag Lord and use it in an offering

Spirits of the Lost Grove

Location

Tur Dulra

Reward

Spirit Boons

Another priority quest, the Spirits of the Lost Grove mission actually begins at the stronghold of Tur Dulra which works best for Druid characters. The enemies of this quest are some of the most difficult foes in the game, particularly at level 15. After reclaiming the stronghold, battling more spawns, and searching for the shrine of Gathlen, characters earn the Skull of the Stag Lord, used in an offering. At the end of the quest, they can give spirit boon offerings to each animal spirit in the grove.

Unlike other quests for the dead or with the undead, this main mission honors higher-level spirits of an ancient and powerful realm. The spirit boons help activate different level buffs as well as enhances boons with currency. Spirits of the Grove is a quest for the sublime that brings small hints of hope to the possible future of fellow townspeople and survivors of war.

2 Culling of Flesh (Side Quest)

Quell a cannibal uprising

Culling of Flesh

Location

Crane Tribe Hutmoot

Region

Dry Steppes

Reward

Gold and Experience(depending on character level) +20 Dry Steppes Renown; Herb Cache Renown Secret Reward: Tarnished Amulet

A quest for Barbarians, the Culling of Flesh throws players into a gaping cannibal uprising soaked in crimson nights. In the Field of Broken Spears, characters battle the slew of violent, savage cannibals in defense of the Crane Tribe Hutmoot tribesmen. This wicked quest brings a player's journey even closer to new, darker discoveries about Lilth. As this particular quest is pretty lengthy, fans may notice a few clues and Easter Eggs to further their progress in the game, and that come in clutch when it comes to defeating foes such as the Altar of Lilith.

All characters in Diablo 4 have grown to abide by their dreary world, rattled by demons, darkness, and personified emotions, actualized as macabre entities and creatures. Completing this quest reminds gamers that the stakes are high as madness and blood engulf their every journey. Be on the lookout for Lilith's rose petals of blood towards the end of this mission as well as the Tarnished Amulet, a tainted protection amulet that can be used as an offering down the line. The Culling of Flesh quest reminds players that "blood is the key" to knowledge, magic, and ruin. Such mania and brazen can be seen in characters such as Vhenard.

1 Prayers for Salvation (Priority Quest)

Save a village from a stalking beast, then watch the townspeople catch their next sacrifice

Prayers for Salvation

Location

Nevesk

Reward

200 Gold 430 XP Choker of Penance

Prayers for Salvation ranks as one of the eeriest scenes in the game, aside from the priest being murdered in his church by his own congregation. This main quest highlights the spoiled enchantment and 'empowerment' Lilith has to control and turn ordinary villagers into ruthless, sly connivers of the night. Entering this chapter, players will be drugged by the townspeople after successfully slaying a creature stalking their area. This main quest tops off this list as one of the most startling and puzzling hero's journey portions of the game.

Characters must fight the townspeople to stay alive while retrieving the Crusader Missives, Paladin Prayer Book, and Tithe Ledger in order to end this quest. The Choker of Penance is the earned reward for the mission, giving slim ebbs of hope to those characters still seeking faith in the ever-dappled world of Sanctuary.
