Red Hook Studios posted a short YouTube video in which it presents its newest addition to the game, The Vestal, a pious sister of battle. The Vestal most recent update called Suffer No Sin and is available today on the Epic Games Store. The update brings the total number of playable characters up to eleven.

Unlike in the previous game, The Vestal has become a much more flexible character. The warrior nun is no longer limited to being just a healer who occasionally provides offensive support to the party. She now plays as a healer-tank hybrid, who is also capable of inflicting serious damage to the farthest opponents. The Vestal's healing abilities are directly tied to her Conviction ability. As her Conviction grows, she will be able to smash her opponents to pieces with her destructive holy power. Players will be able to acquire her full set of skills by visiting the Shrines of Reflection and learning her backstory.

The religious warrior can be considered a welcome addition to the game as some gamers criticized Darkest Dungeon 2’s short number of characters, as it had only 10, in contrast to the original Darkest Dungeon's 18 classes. Other criticisms involved the short length of the campaign and the lack of replayability. However, it seems like Red Hook Studios is devoted to improving the game with its frequent content updates.

Darkest Dungeon 2 is currently in Early Access and is slated to release on Epic Games Store and Steam on May 8.
