Visually and personality-wise, Capcom has created so many iconic characters that are known to people who aren't even fans of the series they are from. There are a lot of characters who can be called good, some who blur the line between good and evil, and others whose history and actions are so dark that they perfectly embody the definition of a villain.

6 M.Bison

M.Bison founder and leader of crime organization Shadaloo.

M. Bison is one of the darkest Street Fighter characters, maybe even the darkest one. The primary villain of the series he's gone from being a non-playable final boss to a playable character with an overpowered move set. M. Bison is a power-hungry dictator that wants to completely take over the world for his own self-interests. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he has a god complex that allows him to take sadistic pleasure in watching others suffer because of him.

He's the founder and leader of Shadaloo, a powerful criminal organization that's involved with several illegal practices. Most of the characters in Street Fighter have a personal vendetta against M.Bison as he has inflicted pain and suffering on them. Cammy hates him for brainwashing her into being an obedient assassin, Chun-Li hates him for his involvement in her father's death and even villain characters like Juri despise him. M.Bison has no friends and is loyal to no one, but he does have loyal subordinates or at least people who are willing to fight on his side for a price.

4 Vega

Vega in Street Fight 5

He has a great appreciation for elegance and beauty, believing himself to be the epitome of both, but a deep hatred for all things that he believes to be ugly. He takes pleasure in seeing ugly things destroyed and even mutilated, one of the rare emotions that he allows to slip through his cold, haughty exterior.

Like most narcissistic characters, he has a tragic backstory, having seen his unattractive stepfather take the life of his beautiful mother, which caused him to develop his hatred for everything ugly. However, even beautiful things aren't spared from his innate cruelty. Along with other beautiful women in the franchise, he expresses attraction to Chun-Li, but he finds joy in causing her pain and suffering, and he even works as a personal bodyguard to M. Bison, the man responsible for her father's death.

2 Juri

street fighter 6 juri leak

Juri was introduced in Street Fighter 4, but she quickly became a fan favorite and established herself as one of the darkest characters in the franchise. A brutal fighter, she differs from characters like Ryu who fight to find a purpose, she is simply a sadist who loves violence. She does have her limits, as she won't fight or intentionally harm children, and she's also against being cruel to animals.

Juri has a tragic backstory that led her to be the person she is now. Her father was a lawyer that targeted Shadaloo, and because of that the organization had her family killed, and her left eye was badly injured. She eventually acquired the Feng Shui Engine to replace her left eye and on a mission to test its capabilities, she killed several people in a public area. Juri is willing to ally herself with people like Seth if it benefits her, though she is quick to stab them in the back the moment they're not useful to her.

1 Riccardo Belli

Dinella finding Fiona and Huey in the halls to guide Fiona to dinner

Haunting Ground is one of Capcom's darkest games to date despite being a little over 18 years old. The plot of the game revolves around Fiona Belli as she finds herself trapped in a creepy castle while being chased by several of the castle's residents who all have their own personal and dark reason for wanting her. All the stalkers in the game can be considered dark, but the darkest of them all is Riccardo Belli.

Hiding his true identity from Fiona at first, Riccardo is a homunculus made by Lorenzo Belli. Deemed incomplete and a failure by his creator because he lacked Azorth, he plans on using Fiona and her womb for his plans to be reborn. Riccardo is behind the car crash which kills Fiona's parents, and he's the one that abducts her and brings her to the castle. He's cruel and abusive to Daniella, Debilitas, and even Hewie. And he psychologically tortures Fiona throughout the game as he chases after her.
